The beauty of hackers, says cybersecurity expert Keren Elazari, is that they force us to evolve and improve. Yes, some hackers are bad guys, but many are working to fight government corruption and advocate for our rights. By exposing vulnerabilities, they push the Internet to become stronger and healthier, wielding their power to create a better world.

I do not have the skill sets to hack. She was walking a tightrope here to get the whole audience to listen and I think she did well. Keren and her companions have saved this world so much grief, it is very hard to thank them enough. But thank you.

People who are determined and intelligent enough to figure things out for themselves also tend to be self sufficient, independent and very passionate about their beliefs. This type of citizen or subject tends to challenge the status quo of established doctern. This is why they are labeled as dissenters and criminals rather than embraced for what the offer, basic freedom. Demonization of such persons, for the purpose of controlling the masses, is an affront to all who truely love freedom. The actions of a select few do not a subclass make. If we are not free to think, explore and discover for ourselves then we are not free. Our colective cultures will wither in stagnation if we can not indulge in something as basic as human curiosity.

***** I appreciate your feedback however I am struggling with correlating your points to this particular post. If we are to fear hacking due to terroristic activities then should we not also ban automobiles, plains and for that matter pedestrian gathering places (ie shopping malls and open markets)? Im sorry but I do not see how agregious testing of syphilis patients holds any bearing on hacking. Curiosity prevades all aspects of life, commerse, religion, science and so forth. It would seem that branding all pursuits driven by curiosity with this horrid act is in itself a very broad generalization. As to your last comment. Please feel free to read my post more thoroughly. You made my point, though less succinctly. "The actions of a select few do not a subclass make." Thanks for your feedback. I do appreciate the opportunity to ponder your thoughts and feelings on the topic.

***** I am sorry but I do not know how else to convey this to you my friend. You have missed some very obvious points in both my comments and the video. At no time did I or the speaker ever state that a blind eye should be turned to the bad things that are done with hacking. Not once. Please take the time to actually listen to Keren and reread my comments. You have single handedly managed to both make a fool of yourself and twist the prevailing message into something completely off topic. Please refrain from posting until you have a clear understanding of the point of this thread. I am sorry but it seems as though your lifes experience has generated a rather heafty volume of missplaced angst. This is not the thread for grinding the proverbial ax. Though I welcome intelligent and respectful debate, your comments are largely off topic and inflammatory. Thank you again for taking the time to share your opinions. Prehapse you will find a common thread on another post geared towards the underlying fear that drives your response.
@DeaconXPS
@DeaconXPS 9 жыл бұрын
Sorry people but another troll has attacked a benign thread and created a circus of one. Sadly I will be closing the topic as the inflamatory comments he made were offensive to many and in conflict with the intentions of this post. As stated before ***** this is not the thread in which to grind your ax. I hope you can understand. If not, as before, please read thoroughly before posting.
