How would you defeat SCP-682? Here's some of my suggestions: Acid damage prevents regeneration; use multiple damage types and force it to juggle its Immunities; Incapacitating it through magical means (it is not resistant to magic); Restraining it; Banishing it to another dimension (although a DM would be wise to make this difficult through encounter design).

I'm currently running a 5e game set in the SCP universe and my players will be running into 682 soon so I've been ruminating on this guy. Overall this statblock definitely feels like it'll get the narrative across. The numbers feel on the weak side for a CR 18, but that Hateful Mimicry feature is fantastic.

SCP-682 is almost identical to an existing D&D monster known as a Tarrasque. Intelligence and true intent to kill being SCP-682 only distinction. Tarrasque is always hungry, and its motive to kill is to eat. It is impossible to kill a Tarrasque, short of bringing it to -10 hit points and casting a wish. And a wish can bring it back to life, immediately, while wish spells is not a permanent solution to a Tarrasque. And all spells cast on a Tarrasque that have a negative effect to it, will fizzle about 80% of the time, with a 20% chance that the spell is reflected. Any physical attack cannot kill a tarrasque outright.

Nice video, I’ve been waiting for so long to see another Scp dnd video from you. Anyway I’m here to suggest you look into the kaktusverse, it’s a very good story that delves into ancient anomalous civilizations and gods and how the actions of the past are catching up with the present. The whole story is very long and only really explores these ancient civilizations after the first video in the playlist (the first video is 3 hours long), so it is a large time commitment to watch all videos about the kaktusverse, but if you’re able trudge through it you’ll be in for a very good time. The story has very strong dnd vibes especially when it starts to delve into this universe’s anomalous past, so I’m sure you’ll be able to get through it with ease.
