I don't know how I am just now discovering your channel, and this video. But I wanted to leave a comment, and let you know that I appreciate you & this video. It has been a struggle to get the Asus Z790 TUF Wi-Fi D4 MoBo . I'm up and running now, mom things working. I too was met with the same keyboard warriors on Reddit .. Quickly realized, I'm on my own. Checking out your other vids after this one! Respect ! I'm on a Asus z790 Tuf, i9 12900k, ddr4 3600, Vega 64. from a MacPro 5,1 I kept alive for way too long. next upgrade will be a 32gb Radeon .

Thanks for running through your experience. I’ve done the same thing slowly upgrading my hackintosh all the way out. I’m running Monterey on an opencore iMac20,2, 10850k, gigabyte vision g, 128gb 3200 ddr4, wd sn850x 2tb, sapphire 6800xt nitro+ se, titan ridge TB3 card, fenvi Wi-Fi BT card. It absolutely plows through anything I put in front of it. The 6800xt is by far the best bang for the buck metal monster, I score 185k for geekbench metal, and out render all the apple silicon machines in blender. I also have a 16” m1 max 24 core gpu. It is very comparable to the hack for all cpu workloads and can be better for video encoding if I use prores of h.264. But all the ram, storage and 6800xt mean I’ll probably have this hack for a couple more years. And then just run windows and get an nvidia card for 3d.

Great commentary my man! Love the energy and the break down of Clov and OC. I personally don't see a performance increase when i switched to OC. If anything, clover is more user friendly to get something up and running. With that said, I am OC gang only because I know my way around the tech world and I think the community aims to make OC more future proof for new MacOS' coming out. I believe it's a lighter file structure too. That's my impression at least. Nevertheless, I subscribed! Great stuff. Shhh'in baby.

Just used OpenCore for the the first time the other day. built the EFI mounted it to my surprise Ventura worked the first time from audio to airdrop. my clover set up was an absolute nightmare for me to keep running. so annoying that I haven't upgraded anything since early 2020.

I picked up an i5 13600K and I'm looking into getting Monterey running as a Hackintosh system. Testing first on a MSI mobo and may switch to Gigabyte if I hit roadblocks. 12th gen Intel Hackintosh are in the wild somewhere... Here's to 13th gen! Further, Faster, Farther.

It would nice to see or hear the difference between the two systems. Also, I would like to see the difference in video editing render times between the two. (Same video of course) I had a very nice pc that i pieced together over a year. AMD 5600, 6600xt (power color of course!) 32gigs of ram. I ended up selling to a friend for his kids gaming pc. Then i bought a Mac Mini M2 Pro 16gig. A refurbished unit. Its just not the same. I am feeling disappointed in it. I want to build a hackintosh but I am torn between 10th gen hackintosh, a 13th gen hackintosh, or just get a studio being thay it'll come with 32gigs of ram. I am starting to do a lot more video editing, but i still use affinity photo and chrome. I have used 14 of the 16gigs of ram on the mini with 14 tabs opened on chrome alone! I never had slow downs and i would have chrome (20 to 40 tabs open), affinity photo, and a video editor opened. Now i have to do one thing at a time on mini and have to wait longer for the programs to open up. I like mac OS, but I may have to go back to windows. Any help would be great! Thanks for the time, effort, and information you have provided!

@@talldarkstrangerpr the mini M2pro with GPU 19core and 32G ram is 2000$ in a mini form factor... not sure if the hackintosh is still worth it for a 100% macOS usage. As @Geek Shhh said, if you are using windows as well, gaming and/or mining go with the hackintosh it's a beast.
