I’m surprised they still haven’t actually updated the companion system as a whole. They’ve continued to add companions to it, but no expansion of their capabilities, any change ups, etc. Pretty crazy

Unfortunately the companion system isn't much of a system. They could have done a recruitment system, like a hireling, a office in every major city. For example...go to Murkmire to hire an Argonian. They could have incorporated storyline NPCs into the companion system...example have Naryu as a companion instead of Miri.

Most agree isobel is best tank and most likely best healer as well. I have Isobel set up to tank and Sharp-as-Night as healer. Unsure about DPS though

I was in town and all of a sudden Zerith was fighting an NPC!! Fortunately, Zerith killed him by himself and there were no guards around. Now that I've gotten Zerith's upgrade, I've gone back to using Bastian. I'm waiting for someone to do a definitive ranking of the best tank companion now that the two new ones are added. I'm a soloer and need someone watching my back.

Hi, I often follow your builds but from time to time they don't match with your videos or even with your description... Tanlorin DPS clip shows her with a staff but you talk about dual wield. In the written description your text recommend HEAVY armor but the actual build shows Medium armor. Why is it not corresponding correctly your text and illustrations? I have written to you asking about how to understand your builds but you never respond with an explanation. Is Tanlorin DPS build best with staff? Or should I go with dual?

Wayrest Sewers 1 Final Boss. Tried at-least Ten Times with my 'lv20' Isabel, Destroyed every time on the last boss☠ Died a few times in-between over those runs she did as well. Transferred my mix of green & blue companion gear to my >'Lv19'< Zerith? Put Crescent Scythe in slot #1 & BLAM! Cruised threw to the final boss, INSTANTLY Noticing the difference from the very first rats, you can see/feel it, or should I say not even pay attention any more!?! LOL! and BLAM! >First Try

Just a little note Mr. Hack: Who the hell run solo build and don't use Caltrops? Caltrops is the autoself included skill in all solo builds except sorcs, and i use it n sorcs too. Good old caltrops is the best for major breach in solo builds. 👍👍👍

@@HackTheMinotaur Yeah, people like me, i despise PvP, and so many PvE Builds use this darn Caltrops, I have 1 out of my 20 toons that has Caltrops because i gave him all the Alliance points from the login calender over quite some time, to reach Assault/Defense rank 7 for this 10% damage reduction skill while slotted, no way i can achieve that on another toon now where they give meager 2k alliance points per month from calender. So yeah, i am glad for every solo build without caltrops hehe.

COMPANIONS CAN'T TANK PERIOD. Except maybe for non vet content and weaker world bosses, the tiger boss on Grathwood beat the shit out of my waste of gold Isobel self heal with low CD and full purple dmg reduction. They need to fix companions.

If you put an ally or AOE heal on your character, it's very hard for them to die. Also, try quickened so they can use their skills more frequently.

This is why i always use companions as dps or healers. They function best as glorified Dots and Hots adding more damage to your solo build that loses some dps for the sake of sustain and survivability

This is not true. Both are free to ESO plus members. After you unlock them they also stay on your account even if you cancel ESO plus

1) With ESO PLUS BOTH of them are free. 2) ZOS has explicated said that even if you lose your ESO PLUS status you won't lose access to those companions. 3) I agree that for those without ESO PLUS it is an obvious ploy to get them to either buy ESO PLUS or just buy the companions with crowns.

There is zero requirement or need to buy anything in the Crown Store. It's not a "cash grab" if everything is an optional, quality of life, item. If you want the new Companion, skip one drive through, fast food lunch, pay for one month of ESO plus, get the Companions and then cancel. But it's not a cash grab, so quit whining.
