Once upon a time, in a far away swamp, there lived an ogre named Shrek (Mike Myers) whose precious solitude is suddenly shattered by an invasion of annoying fairy tale characters. They were all banished from their kingdom by the evil Lord Farquaad (John Lithgow). Determined to save their home -- not to mention his -- Shrek cuts a deal with Farquaad and sets out to rescue Princess Fiona (Cameron Diaz) to be Farquaad's bride. Rescuing the Princess may be small compared to her deep, dark secret.

The funny thing about CG is that it usually looks pretty good with artificial (like Toy Story) or cartoony (like this movie) applications. If it's not supposed to look good, it looks good. When it's supposed to look good, it's really hard to pull off.

A double wide trailer bar that has some of the best karaoke in Nashville! It brings in all demographics from the city. That's fantastic Tony. Hope u had a great time there. I bought a cool boa constrictor in high school... everyone told me not to sleep with it... I did anyway. It didn't get big, as I only had it for a few days... turns out, it was better for both of us that we slept apart, as in the night I rolled over on him... I woke to sadness, and a flat snake... So no one would know what I did, I couldn't present a flat snake... So I blew it up (mouth to mouth), but nope it was dead. I tried to bring the blown up snake back to the pet store... to disappointment. Every time I watch this movie I am reminded of my snake...

About Shrek knowing Farquaad's height and also knowing his plan to become king by marrying Fiona could be explained by cut in the film. We go from Shrek asking Farquaad "what kind of quest" to him traveling with donkey, so an offscreen private meeting after the tournament had to take place in between. If not, then Shrek just figured out Farquaad's height by the lenght of his short arms and his plans by common sense I guess.

Also to Newt talking about Chumbawamba. They started as a punk band(and technically were punk as fuck all the way to the end in my opinion). They started on the old punk band Crass' label, that Crass had started, but anyways. They were very anarcho punk, but not white supremist... But you still my boy Newt! Just thought I'd clear that up. Also agree with you on Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelujah being superior. Which is hard for me to say because I'm a big Velvet Underground fan(John Cale and Lou Reed's first band), but Jeff took Cohen's song and just made it spectacular.
