Shame i didn't know you were visiting Carlisle Mike, i may have been able to pop down see you for a couple of hours. Still the filming you got was superb so thanks for sharing mate. The Blue Pullman is a super catch, and 66502 looked really good with those new Network Rail wagons in tow. You're right about Carlisle these days though, it is so much quieter than it used to be, so a couple of rhtt's make up for that. Thanks for a really varied and interesting selection of trains. What a beautiful train that blue Pullman is - a tragedy that we cannot still be using HST's rather the Hitachi abominations that have replaced them.

Yes I must agree with you going back to the 80s and early 90s but its getting hard for me to get any enthusiasm for going back again. Will have to try a different approach next year, cheers Mike.

Excellent video there Mike!! Some brilliant variety there especially with the BP, 88 and the on hire 70 was quite nice! Some great RHTT action as well especially with the 68 hauled service! Carlisle never disappoints!

Thank you for your comment Jacob but I am older than yourself and I can remember how good Carlisle was, so now I still like to go there say once a year but I do get a bit disappointed how it is these days which is a blooming shame. So kind of you to still watch my video, cheers Mike.

Oh yes Nick I keeping ok apart from scabs on my face from radiation treatment which I hope go in the nest two weeks. Indeed job done at Carlisle which is not a patch on what it used to be many years ago. Did my last RHTT day last week which worked out ok but it was a bit slow for me, but I think you will enjoy it. Weather is very rough today and I've just been and ordered two fencing panels so it looks like I will be working in the garden on Monday afternoon. Some houses down the road from me have lost a lot more panels. Keep well and take care with this weather, regards Mike.
