Its a tragedy...that the same sets of ppl who had lost their loved ones would defy all logic and rationality during elections and vote of the same leaders in the name of caste & religion...sad but this is the truth...we live in today, dont learn from the past & dont plan for the future. All that our leaders care about is how to win the next election through any means. And more than our parents & family, we cult workship these leaders & blindly follow & believe what they say without ever questioning whether it makes sense.

Will of the people is never wrong bro....... N we cant say that same set of politicians are always reelected otherwise we could not have different parties rulling us in these 70 years....people who were voting congress earlier have themselves elected other parties now.... So its not about caste n religion only .... Its mostly about same interests.... People very well know that .... somebody's bad performance in certain area ....... doesn't Make the other someone better... People always measures someone based on their aligned interests The more the number of interests getting fulfilled....more is the chance for the party.... So its more about better options n not only caste n religion If the party wants to be the next option for the nation or the state they have to show the potential by doing their best for the society even if they r not in the power..... by merely pointing out someone's lacking will not make them better option .... Opposition is already there for this .... N they being in opposition speaks all. So if people are voting bjp.... Its not the public or bjp lacks .... Its the other parties which lacks.

well when we had a drastic lockdown in the 1st wave in March 2020 , the grouse was GDP shrinking , lack of jobs , migrants walking ,, if the choice is between lives and livelihood in a poor country of 1.5 billion like our where we were kept poor for 70 plus years , lives dont matter , livelihood is crucial , you and your ilk whose apple polishing to the dynasty continued unabated from the 90s till today , you need to introspect . We decided in 2014, 2019 , and will decide for the next 3 terms 2024 , 2029 and beyond . Much of these lives would have been saved if the opposition played a constructive role in dispelling vaccine myths , getting their states in order with oxygen etc

This is a very good discussion. The analytics of the scenario makes a lot of sense specially on the current scenario and the apparent ghost of third wave.

Shri Karan Thapar is of the firm opinion that he is the star of his interviews and other person is a mere prop.

He does that to pressurise the interviewees to keep answers short and succinct. This way hee can ask an many questions as possible within a short enough time frame to keep the interest of the viewers. But I agree, it's distracting and causes the interviewee to make haste.

I totally agree. Even as a viewer, it was distracting.

It is easy to generalize after an event and blame game is the norm. This is the first time a pandamic of huge effects has appeared during this generation. The best virologists world wide did not have a clue on its origin and possible effects on human health in the long run. Vaccines was one answer but time was the essence to control it. Whatever steps taken then at start of pandemic were the best under the circumstances and known knowledge then. The rapid mutation of the virus strain could not be predicted but they were more aggressive in transmission. Indians love socializing, celebrating festivals, shopping in numbers and other group activities. Ideal situation for virus to transmit. Moreover the public health system is totally inadequate for the population. For instance all the public government hospitals in Dehli state were built by the British and Indians love giving new names of politicians to them. Dont know why state governments do not spend on providing health facilities. So the rapid spread of virus was inevitable and whatever strategies the Government had taken the end result would have been the same. All this stupid analysis after the event means little but just a political agenda.
