I say i really like how of all the traits Hades has taken across the ages, one of the most consistent ones is his single minded devotion to Persephone. You can question his methods across all his incarnations and interpretations all you like, but theres no denying he loves Persephone with all his heart

Honestly I hope we have similar mechanics like Hades 1 with reuniting folks and so forth. Gradually reuniting the whole family and such. 😙👍 Gods I do hope Zagreus, Thanatos, and Megaera are olright. 😓👉👈

It's still early access, i think they will add these kinds of interactions in the full version.Chronos is not completely gone yet, I think Melinoe will have to take the job of constantly fighting Chronos once in a while to avoid his escape. Kinda like Zagreus having the job of killing his father repeatedly.

The prophecy was that Hades would have no heir. Melinoe may have been spared because she was female, which would have excluded her from inheritance in Ancient Greece.

@@TheAngryXenite Not exactly? Zagreus has no interest in running the Underworld and, according to Hades, isn’t capable of it. Hades even speculates that that is why Zagreus was able to live.

the titans came before the gods and are almost infinitely more powerful than them, only through all the olympians together could even one titan be defeated. this is how you beat chronos in hades ii all the olympians help you.

Olympian gods can change sizes. Like hrow into giants or turn into normal sized people. To pose as an imposing ruler, in the house Hades is large but for fighting zag he prefers to be normal sized. His normal size is still decently tall but honestly it's not that bad......

The Prophecy was that Hades wouldn't have an heir, not that he would never have children. That part still holds true, I think, simply because Zagreus isn't interested in running the Underworld as well as having no talent for administration. While Melinoe better reflects her father's temperament, I think we'll have to pley more of the game to see whether Hades would consider her his heir or not. She's more accustomed to being on the surface than Zagreus, and Hades might not want to take that away from her.

It probably didn't apply to her due to technicality. In Melinoë's myth, she's explicitly described as a *cthonic nymph* (some *do* consider her a minor goddess, but nymphs are slightly less powerful) in her hymn, who presides over madness, nightmares, and ghosts. Wheras Zagreus *is* a straight up god (or at least is explicitly described as a minor one, besides the Dionysius association) Of course, whether that applies to the Hades lore is up for debate, as they took creative liberties in some areas (like not making Zeus, who was disguising as Hades, their father). But it's possible the blurred lines on *what* Melinoë is exempts her from the title of Heir of Hades. Like she's the Princess, but she may not be able to take the seat of a *god* if she isn't one. Ergo the prophecy could skip over her.

I'm not sure if we heard the precise wording of the prophecy, we just heard no heir, that is merely an interpretation of the exact prophesy which may change its actual meaning. But from what we have rn, Zagreus was born dead and was revived through Nyx's magick, and we don't know if it was the same for Melinoё it btw could have been the case they just knew this time how to revive her quickly. Also (spoilers) Melinoё suppressed the chthonic curse so that might affect her status as the "heir" this one tho is just me trying to find random reasons

Its pretty much concept art, a step above the generic placeholder like Charon but not fully finished. A few other characters have it too: Iccarus, Circie, Echo, Medea.

Early access means not all of the game is complete yet. Some of the character portraits are a little scuffed and unfinished, while some aren't even usable so they have a cloaked figure portrait as a placeholder.
