It was actually very, VERY obvious who sent Skelly in there from the start. The Clue was always there: The coin in Skelly's Mouth, aka "Charon's Obdol". It is the "fee" the dead pay the Ferryman (Charon) to get a ride across Styx, but since Skelly still has his means that Charon hasn't taken his fee yet as he has a "task" for Skelly to do before he is done with him.

I like how the game alludes to Charon's enigmatic status in mythology. Charon has always been associated with the chthonic gods despite never being explained. He's just the boatman. Charon isn't born from another chthonic god either like Thanatos or Hypnos are. It's like Charon was always there. Like there couldn't be an underworld without him. And yet he acts as though he's just doing a job. He doesn't have a deal with Hades or any other god, he's just the boatman. People respect him because he does his job well, and they don't mess with him, presumably because if they did he could take them to Tartarus. In the game Charon feels similar to Chaos, in that he assists Zagreus from a neutral perspective. The gods assist him because they want something from him, but the only want Charon ever seems to show is a want for money. Charon just wants to be payed for his job. Maybe Charon is doing his job by helping Zagreus. Perhaps Charon recognizes that the family needs Zagreus to escape, and so he uses his surprising amount of power to help that goal. I love Charon. I almost immediately got him to max hearts, and I just wanted to honor the character with this little comment analysis.

If you meet Hermes while using his Tooth, this dialog plays differently. They don't go "tell me", "no" over and over like hat, Skelly just says he's not snitching on his sources/contractors. After Hermes notes you're carrying a Tooth, which, "considering the overall weird circumstances, it's pretty weird, is it your own tooth?", Zag can talk to Skelly about that chat and he's gonna act up nervous about it and ask Zag to not out this info to anyone

Hades has nothing to do with secrets, except when it's important. He only lied to Zagreus about his mother because he was too worried about Olympians' reactions. He lied in order to protect the Underworld and other Chthonic Gods.

This one surprised me a bit. I honestly thought it was Hades who did it secretly to give his son something to do and better himself with. Charon though makes a lot of sense now that I remember all the conversations I had with him. His grunts were a dead give away and I just couldn't see it.... Although come to think of it Skelly has a tendency to troll Zag with stories so who knows if he is even telling the truth here.
