Chronos himself only had unique dialogue yeah im sure first run win interactions could be implemented...? im not sure if hades 1 had the same thing. Or at least when the full game comes out the narrator will have a unique death quote at the house of hades for first run win where the plot isnt layed down yet just like in hades 1 where you couldn't meet Persephone on your first run win

the developers made it really easy to modify files, as it is in early access. So I just increased my damage by 5x and made myself always intangible via game files.

Cool Dialog. I suck so much at the Hades games, it takes me 50 runs to succeed. It'd be really cool if there were Legendary & Duo Boons that alter the Chronos Fight drastically in the case you get there on your 1st night. Did you create the mods used here? I'd like to make some. Itt appears that Super Giant encourages modding, in that much of the game is uncompiled & open source to allow Mods. FYI, this does happen with Eris in Oceanus, if you greatly out-pace the story, where she drops a Mandatory Boon that deals 20% Extra Damage to Melinoe for the remainder of that night. 😅❤

It's not 20% Extra Damage... It's +20% Damage that stacks per Room. As in, clear 3 rooms and you now take +60% damage from everything. I think the worst it got for me was a trap dealing something like 58 HP (it started at like 3 damage) because I carried it all the way from Oceanus to the House of Hades. I hate the Blessing of Strife so much.

There are discrepancies in the original, if I recall. The main things are that you’re expected to take a few runs at least, so you get special boss dialogue before then, though it’s generally not tailored to only night 1. Plus, it’s primarily voice lines. The Hades dialogue system is robust and powerful enough to handle these kinds of edge cases. There are hundreds and hundreds more to add in general, I’m sure. Adding a handful of new lines for edge cases seen by a tiny fraction of players is called “polish” in the games industry. Please don’t act like a fun easter egg isn’t worth development time. They’re just as fun to add from a dev’s perspective as they are to get from a player’s perspective.

The purpose was to see if there was any difference in dialogue if Chronos is beaten on the first night. The only difference that I saw was Chronos not knowing who Melinoe is yet, as he usually figures it out through Oceanus interactions before the player reaches him.

Even so, there's nothing wrong with using cheats in a single-player game. "Fun" is subjective and I don't think there's a right or wrong way to play a game. After all, a game is designed to entertain, and everyone is free to entertain themselves in the way that suits them. For some it's try harding for others it's powerplaying. They destroyed Hades, a character with no connection to the game 1 simply appears and you have to swallow hard, congratulations to the sealers who like to destroy things to provide cheap and poorly placed representation, Zagreus is just the guy who escaped from hell about 1000 times and it was simply treated like shit just like hades/persephone/thanatos/nix/meg/ and all the characters from the old game, I tried with an open heart and without prejudice to see the other way but there's no way it's too disrespectful towards the story of the game. game 1, I hope that flop from the bottom of my heart I hope that they don't even win enough to pay the costs to learn.

You do realize that like….Melinoë didn’t just come out of nowhere right? Supergiant did not create her for “cheap and poorly placed representation” (which. By the way. Please remember Man is not the default setting for a main character, or any character, or Person), she is a real character from Greek mythology who is the daughter of Persephone, albeit not well known but that is exactly like Zagreus. And that Hades and Persephone deciding to have another child is actually a really touching and realistic step in the story we were given in Hades 1? I can understand being upset most of the characters from the House of Hades aren’t present, I’d love to see Dusa again, however it really does seem like your main point of contention is that….the main character is a girl this time? And that there are new characters to get to know? What were the other options? What would you have done? Play as Zagreus again but strip him of all his power and growth from Hades 1? Oversaturate the cast by trying to fit in all the old and add in new hub area characters? I’m just having a hard time seeing what you’re actually upset about beyond…Melinoë being a woman
