I love Nyx conceptually but it really needs 3 things 1: the night spawned attacks need to be able to hit the same target as the main attack 2: the night spawned specials need to split on launch and not on hit 3: the night spawned attacks and specials need to inherit boon effects

I've done the Xinth Poseidon special run multiple times. It's pretty good and fun but at the end of the day it's just budget Pan.

I actually love omega special on the coat, even though I agree the damage (and the time it takes to deal it) feels underwhelming a lot of the time. It just really suits my personal playstyle, which is much more about dancing around and keeping distance. I think if I loved playing super close, I'd never touch the special either

A build idea I was working on is a "summoner build" using aspect of eos, night bloom, sun worshipper, and ecstatic obsession. For it i also recommend using vows of grit, fury and fangs because the buffs to health and attack speed also apply to the revived allies

Unfortunately, Charmed technically counts as an enemy, which counteracts with Night Bloom/Sun Worshipper summons. However, it is still possible to achieve the 2(+1)-team summoner combo.

The specials for me have basically only been used as origination proccers. Stick a curse on them and your cast and it feels like pretty consistent origination. Especially if you have the rockets that jump to other enemies on hit or the attack that sometimes fires your rocket. I agree that i find the omega underwhelming though. I feel like I often find my self firing the omega special then almost killing the enemy with my attacks before the rockets really hit.

Have you done a run with the new Spirit Surge? It now does damage every time you spend magic so I've had a lot of fun with the Mel Coat, Thunder Sprint, Spirit Surge, Double Strike, and some Hera boons for King's Ransom. I chucked a Lightning Lance with Super Nova for good measure to add to the damage my bolts were doing. Didn't even take that long to get most of the build going on the surface :)

He has already tried the Thunder Sprint build, though it didn’t include the current version of Spirit Surge. I found the Thunder Sprint/Spirit Surge/Double Strike combo pairs exceptionally well with the Arctic Ring/Hail Storm/Glorious Disaster setup. Hopefully, he will revisit this build soon!

So as far as build recommendations go i am once again recommending aspect of selene with geyser spout. Now it is critical that we get the sublime upgrade (hex path info in reply, this is too long) where it drops a skyfall beam when we do an omega move as fast as possible, but just go poseidon zone 1, get both tidal ring (because it has really high single hit damage) and geyser spout (preferably slip as well, for origination w/ shine fron skyfall), but zone 2 selene keepsake is critical. After beelining for the sublime upgrade anything works, because the build is basically complete. This really works well because shine is the highest omega damage multiplier you can get from an aspect (outside circe but that is not consistent, while the sublime upgrade makes shine consistent) and the omega casts have the most power, plus you get to skip using the omega attack/special on the coat which aren't in a good place right now. Some fun boons to get with this: 1. If we have the sublime upgrade, midnight oil is okay since we don't really need to actually cast hex and the speed boost is nice 2. Heph's duo is cool, but really unnecessary tbh 3. I said any path of stars works but a great addition is the bright upgrade that gives skyfall the effects of your attack boon and pairing it with blitz, without even using attack your hex (that fires when you do an omega) will automatically add blitz to enemies and since shine is also a curse, activate origination as well. It's really potent and the peak potential of the aspect, imo. If zone 1 we can't get to the sublime upgrade (very likely) this is a must grab, since even if you have no path of stars keepsake+the three you get from a path upgrade can get you from the start to the end of all hex tree types.

So firstly getting this specific sublime upgrade (cascade) is kind of easy but not guaranteed, since skyfall has 2 endpoint sublime upgrades, and out of the 4 branch patterns except 2, the > and the > shape, have 2 endpoints, so it is 3/4 times guaranteed that if you have her keepsake that you get this path of stars. The bright upgrade (ferocity) where your hex gains the bonuses of your attack boon is also guaranteed unless you end up with the > path since it does not have 3 bright upgrades, but still decently easy to get as there are only 3 bright upgrades and all trees have a bright node within 4 nodes of the starting node. If you end up with a bad tree (the > and the > shape) then it is a 50/50 that you end up with cascade and not prism (more skyfall beams when you cast hex). With prism the aspect is kinda C/low B tier, but you have to build around spamming omegas with bloodline and either the hestia or demeter omega attack/special cost increase boon. So it's a 50% chance to get a good tree, and 50% chance in a bad tree to have cascade, so 75% chance of getting cascade per run. This is on a face value more than getting a duo, but you can roll for a duo multiple times but you know at the start whether you get cascade this run or not. If it's on the tree, it's 100% and it not, 0%. This feels somewhat worse and I wish SGG did something about this, but still.

I already mentioned this in another vid, but another fun run would be a max attack speed run. Aspect of Than (heph legendary req): 45% atk speed Heroic nimble limbs (from phial or bridal glow): 25% atk speed Rapid Slash hammer: 30% atk speed All of these makes 100% atk speed, somone suggested midnight oil(or whatever hermes boon makes you attack faster via hex charge). Throwing an aphro on the attack makes you slice through everything super fast its omega fun

Honestly, the tier list was good, I think Hades is just super subjective at all levels of play. Like you can say high fear streamlines opinions more, but fear is still pretty customizable even at the higher levels. Then the Arcana completely alters how you approach the game from run to run. Mel Zorephet is high tier for me because of the extra HP and oomph adding more defensive insurance to runs.

You should try a lob cast build! Do aspect of Charon or Momus and see if you could try to get the boons that launch your cast?

Ranged Cast and Charon don't synergize well. Aiming takes too much time, and Charon pairs better with Local Climate/Exceptional Talent for quickly popping 2-3 casts at once.

Build request: - Mel torches - Hestia Special, Aphro cast, Demeter Attack - Hestia/Aphro duo so scorch stacks don’t diminish over time - Freezer Burn to clear your scorch stacks for massive damage - Any magic regen that can keep up - born gain, lucid gain, or ionic gain are ideal. - Any Special-oriented hammers - Clean helix and triple helix are ideal, whirling coil is okay - (alternatively, this can also be done on Aspect of Pan with the same core boons, I just think it would be cool to explore the synergy between the two duo boons)

I beat 32 feart for the first time spamming the Omega special on this weapon, get a heroic poseidon special at the start and this thing makes waves. But if you insist that it needs a buff, don’t let me stop you….

something i’ve always wondered about is whether room temperature and freezer burn interact, so you can proc freezer burn without having to wait for cool-down

It’s possible, and the build is actually quite effective, but achieving the 3 duos (Freezer Burn, Room Temperature, and Chain Reaction) AND the 2-second Volcanic Strike requires significant investment. Luck is also rarely on your side for most of the time.

Run Idea : Mel Skull with Omega on Collect Hammer and +Skulls Hammer with Hera Bloodline and other +Omega buffs (Demeter)where collecting Skull Omega Interaction is Main DPS. Did it yesterday and even got the fire all skulls at once hammer from keepsake at the End. DMG was absolutly insane although i missed the Chaos +Cast DmG Infusion. But i really loved hermes -Magik use Boon for the first time ever

Suggestion: if the tooltip is correct, you could do an omega attack build for skulls using Persephone aspect which is probably optimal over mel aspect bc +flat damage is just as good on the regular attack

hi i got a dumb question but how are you able to see the information about duo boons in your run and what boons you need for the duo to appear is it somthig you unlock by playing or is it a mod or am i just to stupid to find the right button for it

The in-game option to check the boon list will unlock as you progress through the story. Until then, you can alt-tab out of the game and check to the Hades wiki for information.

Build suggestion! Freezer Burn + Room Temperature (Torches work best for this imo) It's a boon heavy run, but what you need: - Flame Strike - Frost Flourish - Stamp Rush (the lower cooldown the better) - Highly Flammable - Freezer Burn - Room Temperature The goal of the build is to reapply Freezer Burn quite quickly and remove the Freeze reapply-cooldown with Heph blasts (Room Temp). You could switch the Scorch to special and the Freeze to attack, but depending having Scorch on special applies less at a time + it's hammer dependant (Triple Helix, Whirling Coil help the best). So the flow would be: Apply Scorch > Apply Freezer Burn (with omega special) > Dash through enemy to remove Freeze cooldown > Repeat Hope to see you give this build a try :)

Nyx kinda sucks. I like Selene OK, as the upgrades on sky fall make it pretty solid (giving the hex your attack boon benefit, -20% damage during the hex, some others).

i'm not sure i agree with rolling so hard for the duo in oceanus, in a standard non-boss room as well. taking a boon at that point increases the odds of the duo being offered later, since you have one less boon to be offered, and i think it's better to keep those rolls for the miniboss doors in fields to make sure you have at least one more chance to get it with increased rarity odds plus the chance of echo giving you another one

Duo Boon chances aren't really affected by miniboss rooms so I guess the intention is to roll early and avoid taking prerequisites for other 2nd tier boons. Granted sometimes you just wanna get the duo early to showcase it, especially for a youtube vid lol
