From looking frame by frame, it seems like double strike works as other people have said: The chance of getting a second strike does not care about the internal cooldown timer. So each of the 7 special hits has a chance to spawn a second lightning, despite only one of them being able to summon the first lightning.

In my first runs i thought Zeus was a bait since he had no significant multipliers, but I didnt know what weapons were around beside the swords so I hadn't valued the base damage application 😂

One of my favorite builds (which may not be "end game viable" or "optimized" or what have you, is going up the Poseidon path with the Adamant Rail. Get attack knockback, then go knocked back DoT, then mobs knocked into walls blast damage. Also the extra % DPS to bosses. I refer to it as the "firefighter" build. There are several ways you can go with the Daedalus Hammers to help, as well. Artemis' call and Athena's reflect dash are bonus.

Re: discussion of legendary having a CD, the bolt cooldown influences the legendary proc - so while the legendary probably does not have a cooldown, it can't proc more often than lightning bolts which DO have a cooldown.

I didn't know that about hangover damage. I sometimes take druken dash for easy p status, and the call is pretty good, so I don't turn it down when I see it. Now I'll have to be more careful.

So I've done a run with every god on Rama's special, and there were a few interesting ones: Zeus - obviously the best, where double strike, static discharge, and splitting bolt will melt all enemies Poseidon - not particularly good, since the special doesn't do much knockback, and mostly only works for razor shoals and as a Zeus build with extra steps in Sea Storm Athena - not particularly good, though I managed to get 30% special speed and Deadly Reversal, which worked pretty well Aphrodite - not great, since high percentages are wasted on the special's miniscule damage. Unhealthy Fixation sort of made things interesting, but not really Ares - decent, since doom is more easily enhanced to do good damage, probably comparable to my Athena run Artemis - a little better than Aphrodite, but the Athena build with Deadly Reversal gets more damage on top of better crit chance for more damage output, so... Dionysus - probably the second best special to use, from pomming Drunken Flourish to duos like Curse of Nausea. Still requires more boons to even approach Zeus's level Demeter - mediocre, takes a lot of effort and luck to make it decent If you want to have fun, Zeus and Dionysus are the way to go, with Athena being a surprise pick if you want to try your luck.

On Rama or as a whole? Rama, I'm not sure, but I have 84 clears on Coronacht as a whole, and Rama is my most used aspect there by far. In total, I'm in the process of attempting my 500th escape. It's rather difficult since I've disabled the Mirror of Night, use the Zag sword, and don't use calls or summons throughout the run. I've nearly killed Hades once, but I still haven't adapted to the new playstyle.

What if double strike is better because it has a chance to work whenever you meet the requirements to spawn a lightning strike, even if its on cooldown? So every special hit has a chance to create the doubke strike bolt, while only 1 special hit every x amount of time creates one.

The other build similar to this aphro on special with Lucy rail. 250 and either 3 bombs or 5 bombs. You can run around the pillar when fighting Hades as you don't need to be in direct line of sight to throw a bomb.

The easiest imo is basic shield with thunder fluorish and 30% Hermes on special. Did a 16 heat run this morning in 12 minutes and I am *not* that good at the game.

Zag shield with thunder flourish is one of my favourites, it can get crazy strong just with jolted added. Explosive Return is a huge boost for it. And Dashing Flight is one of my favourite hammers that nobody likes. It completely changes the special, it's not just faster (which is way safer) and higher white damage, it behaves totally differently, curving sharply around obstacles to hit enemies and really expanding how much of the room you can take care of quickly without getting penalized (waiting forever for the shield to return when it decides to travel too far away). You barely need to pay attention which direction you throw it anymore, it's so much fun.

It works with Chaos aspect too since the attack is not super important, but I do mix the usual dash-strike-bull rush in as well for safe maneuvering, so the Zag attack damage helps. Mostly though I actually find the extra shields distracting on this build and so I can't time things as well, and they rarely hit anything unless it's point-blank, which doesn't work with thunder. I don't know why but I've always loved Zag shield the best, I think it just feels like one of the most aggressive playstyles of any weapon, to me.

Rama special fires concentrated bursts, similar to how Chiron's special can be focused onto one target for big damage. Chiron is slower though, and you have to hit an attack first to focus it. Rama special is weaker, but the high rate of fire and free aim more than make up for that when you stack boons on it.

You would need Zeus on the attack or elsewhere with Poseidon on the special abs then get the duo, but yes you could get it to work but it's less likely going that way.

Use the rail with Poseidon on the attack and Zeus for your call and try to get the Sea Storm duo with any extra Zeus and Poseidon boons. It destroys enemies and even Hades. Razor Shoals and other Poseidon boons with Zeus double strike and the legendary boon is an amazing bonus. Just melts through rooms

Just seeing this vid. I also made a one button build with that rama aspect in a similar way but for posie. Ended with posie special, zues cast, sea storm duo. That alone does a ton, but then throw in jolted, razor shoals, breaking wave and hydrolic might. Once you get to the styx you can clear every room in one shot. Was fun as hell. Had 2 forced hermes 1 atleast gave a bonus dash the other 20% speed so i wont complain😅
