Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada is North America's best. Hate to admit it being a former Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky TM. TMMK used to produce 600 vehicles per a line for each shift before SUV obsession occurred. Now they're just lucky enough to build 1000 per a shift for the three lines (plant 1(Camry), plant 2 (Camry, Rav4 hybrid), Lexus ES.

I love Toyota's durability, and simplicity..........
@leochen887
@leochen887 7 ай бұрын
Um, durability, yes. Simplicity, absolutely not. Instead it's complexity, control, and durability. Cars are very much rolling computers today. They contain a network of electronic control units (ECUs), with between 70 and 100 being installed in every modern vehicle. These computing units control engine functions, regulate braking behavior and monitor the air conditioning system. The higher computing power and integration are necessary because the number of lines of code and the complexity of the functions in the vehicle is increasing year by year. One number may make this clear: 100 million. This is how many lines of code feature in today’s car. By comparison, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner only has 14 million. There are also many lines of code behind the entertainment system and navigation. Added to this is the possibility of connecting smartphones and other devices to the car, which is also only possible with complex software. And it doesn’t stop there: software is taking over more and more important in-car tasks. The most important functions today and in the future include data exchange with other road users and the infrastructure, updating vehicles from the cloud, and eventually even autonomous driving. But the vehicles shown being built in this video don't show the computer control units that make it all possible. You'll know the future has arrived when you step into your new car and discover that it has no steering wheel.

I've never really been excited about a new Land Cruiser since Toyota stopped building the FZJ80 series but I'm really excited about the new GX550. I started thinking about buying a new Tundra in the last couple months but I honestly think I'll keep my old Tundra and buy a new GX Overtrail. I really like the square body, just looks rugged, kind of like a beefy 60 series Land Cruiser. I like the new Land Cruiser 250 but I like the 3.4 V6 in the Lexus better. Great video!!

Nice to see the same factory that built my 4Runner. Same quality and attention to detail.

I love the 4Runner TRD Pro. If I could afford one I would buy it. I’m searching about the GX550 now. I give Toyota so much credit

I feel like Toyota/Lexus are knocking it out of the park with new models that the American market likes. The hybrid tech is great.

This is so cool to see. I just bought the last generation GX 460, a 2023 GX 460 Luxury. Unfortunately I can’t wait for the 2024 GX but I am happy with it. It’s a truly reliable tank! The new GX is untested and I am not impressed with the newer 2023/2024 RX with a 4 cylinder and turbocharger. Longevity is a concern!

Same thing that I felt too! a 2023 GX Luxury is a great car and the last V8; the new 2024 GX will have a long waiting list that may be over 6 months long and even then, you may not get the model and features that you desire. Also, the new 2024 GX will need to go through some used evaluations, feedback, and upgrades, while the 2023 GX has already Bern price since 2010 and its mechanical kinks have been worked through.

It's absolutely the hotness. Cross-shopping a 550 and a LC and you can't lose either way.

Definitely looking into this badass SUV. Been a long-time ‘Yota fanboy from Colorado who’s never been disappointed with the JDM platform…
