To Europeans, the Bronco's look is all of America packed into a small car. Europeans perceive the Bronco the same way they perceive the Mustang. It's hard to find more American cars. I don't think I'll ever get tired of this shape. So simple and yet fascinating.

My uncle has a 66 pickup style bronco that he has kept in bare metal because of all the cool custom bodywork he has done. It's 4wd but sits about 4 inches off the ground with a 351 stroked out to a 429. It runs high 10's but he never even drives it anymore, he got a new one and he fell in love with the tech and comfort...This Bronco is the best of both worlds.

It's not just an old bronco dude... not sure if you even cought the engineering part. They gave it 4 wheel independent suspension, all time awd, ABS, and stability control. There's not a chassis you can buy that has that in a vintage bronco. Trust me, a vintage chassis drives like dooky. This one looks to drive like a modern SUV, just with a vintage body. Certainly an opinion but I think ICON 4x4 makes the best restomod sold today. You get something that looks original if you want and super well built. I couldn't think what it was that bothered me with this one until I stood back a while. It looks like 10 or so different designers each took a section and built something and someone else put it all together. There is no coherent theme to this vehicle and it comes off looking like a Hot Wheels. Which is great if you like over designed stuff. To each their own, way to much going on for me for that price.

The appeal of the Bronco, besides nostalgia, is the mechanical simplicity and durability. Personally, I would slightly upgrade the vehicle with: disc brakes, reinforcement to the frame, stronger lighter roll bars, and better progressive shocks and a larger than original but non electronics driven V8. Keep it simple.

This makes no sense. They redesigned the whole chassis to add crumple zones and IFS but couldn't be bothered to add a shred of rollover protection for the driver? More broadly, what's the actual use case for this thing? Clearly not four-wheeling since the front end articulation is a distant memory. The short wheelbase and tall height will make it a handful at speed regardless of steering and suspension design. Is it purely for carrying surfboards to the beach? I've driven a Bronco to El Porto with a surfboard in the back so I know how cool it feels, but even the DINKs in Manhattan Beach are going to stop and think about dropping $400k just for that purpose.

Old Bronco body on a new Bronco chassis, 5.0 Coyote, Kenwood stereo, doesn't justify the 400k price. It's very common in Australia to lengthen the chassis when they install a box bed to a Land Cruiser, or extend the pickup chassis. So, shortening a chassis should be in their realm. Seems for people who have lot of money and don't know where to spend.

Seemingly incongruent for the designers and engineers to attempt to make it a bit of a canyon carver and muscle car whilst lifted on 33’s, and Baja Blaster whilst sporting a suspension designed STRICTLY for asphalt, it’s woefully inadequate in any of the the modes. Verdict: Much like a modern SUV that attempts to meet a broad range of capabilities. like the SUV…this Bronco does NONE of them well.
