Let's pretend the "factory bike" puts out 25% more on both figures (which is probably a stretch, in a motor already designed for racing). So now it's at just under 50hp & 22 or 3 f/p within 3k rpm between the peaks. A bone stock KTM 450sxf is already matching that hp at 7k rpm and quickly increasing (while never dropping below 50hp again) over the next 4k rpm. It's also producing more torque at 3k rpm (than the our factory 250 does at its peak) and builds to almost 35f/p over the next few k rpm. Again, this is in stock form. Deegan isnt racing his factory bike against stock bikes at a Loretta's qualifier. So other than maybe a Suzuki, the 450's are pumping around 10 more hp than him, a lot more torque, both of which are coming on much earlier, getting to their higher peaks much sooner, all with much less clutching and shifting to keep them operating in their optimal range. Advantage, 450's. All day.
