i have an LG window unit i recently cleaned out an i cut a section of the case right below the condencer coil out so when water got into the unit it would dain out instead of sitting an rusting out the condencer coil. unit works perfectly well with this new mod lol

@@JordanU oh yea another tip to keep bugs..leaves and cotton wood out of the condencer coil is to use a screen mesh over the air intake vents on the outside. Yea some fine dirt may still get in but youl keep all the big Gross things like bugs. Rotted leaves and choking cotton wood stuff from plugging up the condencer. You just have to clean the stuff off the mesh ocasonaly. Also i use super glue to secure the mess to the intakes on my window units

If you were to add a hole to the Air Conditioner on the bottom will the bugs and creatures get inside the machine a lot easier?

I also have an Inverter GE Profile 13500BTU that also have a Cross Flow fan too. I believe that it is just a rebranded Haier Serenity.
