In simple terms, the “one touch” from Tsukki is basically just the block part. The 3 plays per team still counts after that. He’s just signaling his teammates to not let go of the ball coz he already touched it.

The way I see it, Shiratorizawa likes things textbook. If you were reading a textbook about volleyball, chapter 1 page 1 would say that being taller and being stronger will make strong players. Sure there are ways to succeed without height and power, but they don't write about them in textbooks because the textbook way is proven to work

They yell "one touch" so that the team will be aware that the ball was checked and they have to be ready to get the ball. Because if it touched the blockers but it was not noticeable and the ball is sailing out, the teammates might just leave it, hence the other team scoring. And yes, the "one touch" does not count in the three touches. But fun fact, it counts in Beach Volleyball. So after the one touch, it's only two touches left.

The spike right after tsukki said he would set the timing wasn't a mess up, it was slowed to show tsukki carefully deciding where to tip the ball

Blocks essentially don't count for anything except the ball going out. A blocker could be the next to hit the ball as well and the block doesn't count towards the three hits on your side. For outs, it's like basketball rules, whoever touched it last, even if it was a forced hit. Like a spiker can "tool" a blocker, by hitting the block intentionally at an angle that then makes it go out to force the point

Since i play volleyball i know the rules. You can touch the ball ony 3 times with your whole team to get it over or spike the ball. When your teammate gets a one-touch that does not count as a touch like you said you get another chance to spike the ball. During a rally or a game you can spike the ball as many times as you want there is no limit. So basically everything summes up : You can only touch the ball 3 times on your side of the net to get it over or spike the ball except when a teammate makes a one-touch, thats when it doesnt cuont as 1 of the 3 touches you can peform. That way its abit more fair. And there is no limit to spiking for one person or the whole team. You also can touch the ball 2 times when it is one your side but not touch it 2 times very fast. What you guys said the ball does not count as a limit to hit or touch the ball it is more when the ball is on your side, than its when your team can only touch it 3 times and ofcourse when its over the net and goes back you can again touch the ball 3 times.
