That's Hinata's little sister, Natsu! Middle Blockers can also attack, they just have 'blocker' in their name because they're the first line of defense against attacks. Wing Spikers can block too, but their main role is to attack. In Hinata's case, he'll mainly be used as an offensive MB who uses quick attacks (like that pinpoint accuracy-closed-eyes-full-trust spike he did with Kageyama) because the speed of that thing is no joke. And because of how flashy that attack is, he can also double as a decoy which frees up the other attackers to hit, like how Tanaka was able to score a couple of points thanks to Tsukki being too wary of Hinata. In contrast, as you've seen, Tsukki is more of a defensive MB. In the world of Haikyuu, pretty much every single character will have a moment, so buckle up!

Just a little info about schools in Japan, in case you're wondering why this teacher/advisor doesn't have any knowledge on volleyball. Schools in Japan does not allow any kind of clubs without a teacher (employee of the school) as a guardian. So usually, you will see 2 adults. a coach (not an employee of the school) and a teacher/advisor, unless the coach themselves is a P.E teacher of the school. The job of the teacher/advisor is to watch over the students, making sure the students goes home on time, contacting other school for this kind of practice match and of course, collecting a budget for any kind of club related activities.

I mean it's mostly because of Yamaguchi's loyalty where I even considered "ok there's gotta be something about him" I obviously loved it when he trolls other teams though lol But again, I do believe those who say that they liked him from the beginning (even though his arc relies on the opposite reaction)

You always have this feeling that there's something about him and yes, his character develops later on and i started liking him a lot. I could relate to his situation a lot and he became the best character for me. And after all he is just 16 years old.

to answer Carlie's question -san, -chan, -sama, -dono are suffixes that indicates the level of familiarity/respects with the person that we refer to -san : referring someone in respectable way -chan : referring to someone that have close relationship, sometimes can also refers to adoration -sama : referring to someone with higher respect, to the point of worshipping (may differ depending on the situation) -dono : same as '-san-', but is old expression, might seen this suffix in older time period settings Oni/Aniki - older brother Onee/Aneki - older sister Oto/Oyaji/Chichi - father Oka/Haha - mother Sho's lil sis call him Ni-chan, which the 'Ni' is the short from 'Oni' and the suffix '-chan' is used showing their close relationship as family. Some called 'Oni-san' to their older brother which comes with respect. As for mother and father, only 'Oto' and 'Oka' are followed by the suffixes. For example, Anya calling Loid and Yor 'Chichi' and 'Haha' indicates that she is close with her parents and this doesn't followed by any suffixes. Hope this is helpful 😉

So good to see you getting attached to all the players! (and takeda-sensei the best boy XD) I can explain a bit more why Aoba Johsai asked to see Kageyama as a spiker (they go over it in the episode but it's easy to miss). It's not actually a cheap way to win the game (it's a preparation match, the coaches don't care about winning at all cost). Kageyama was already considered a genius setter in middle school despite the lack of chemistry with his team, so he's considered a new asset for Karasuno and the other teams want to see him play in his new environment to find ways to counter him in the actual championship. We could also say that they are not interrested in Karasuno, only in Kageyama (which is why Tanaka is angry at this situation). Since they are one of the top teams of the prefecture and Karasuno was doing pretty bad those last years, they wouldn't have been interrested in the game if it weren't for that reason.

A little more clarification about why Hinata is a middle blocker is because they want to use him as a decoy so it opens up the other wing spikers to spike freely. Also because we know that Hinata is not the best at receiving the ball, and because of how the players rotate (with every point scored, the players rotate once clockwise), the middle blockers are actually switched off the backline with the libero (receiving specialist), so they don't have to receive.

I love how they show that aim icon when Kageyama tosses showing how much of a genius he is no matter the spiker's position. Also it always makes you happy to see how excited Hinata is now since all his junior school years passed having no team and he never got to see the bond of the team players and barely played any matches.
