42 years ago for me, it was the 2nd solo when I went up and did spins and attempted a loop that really sticks with me 😂 That old Cessna 150 is still flying today.

That was awesome! She did crush it! My flight school was at a large municipal airport. So when a student did a first solo. Not only was there ATC, But, dozens of Commercial and civil pilots listening in. So they got a lot of congratulations and well dones. There were a LOT of eyes on them.

I flew a Piper, with my flight instructor, last Sunday. My first time flying. I was told I had great navigational skills. We hit 60 mph, and I eased back on yoke- airborne 😅

I remember my first solo in 1998. What a great feeling ! 3 perfect landings in a row . Taxi The AA1B Grumman back to the hanger. To have my flight instructor Ray cut off the Back of my brand new $50 Sacramento Kings Polo shirt , I bought at the game the night before! All times ! lol

The thing that I remember most about my first solo was how light the plane was. It was like i was flying a kite all of a sudden, and my CFI wasn't even big, he was like 150 lbs and 5'7".
