I was 3 when Toy story came out but I remember watching it as an older kid (7). I remember watching it on ice! The next Pixar movie was a bug's life, The story and the animation definitely kept Toy story relevant.

there's an episode where spongebob forgot how to tie his shoelaces. Its Season 2 Episode 1: Your Shoe is Untied/Squid's Day Off. So I think they just didnt mind to draw his shoelaces in detail. But he does have them, as you can see in the episode.

For the SpongeBob thing, there are episodes where he does tie his shoe laces, like the whole episode was about him learning to do it...there was even a song. It's just how they draw him day to day

THE FORD ONE! My god I’ve been trying to find an explanation for this for YEARS. I have a pencil case from when I was 15 (I was a petrol head) and Ford was my favourite brand, I drew the logo right in the middle with the straight line “F”. I still have it. It’s there. I drew it straight off google as well in 2015. I’m always blown away by this

@twemp98372 жыл бұрын
cartoon logic, some things (like fingers, toes, etc) only show up when they’re needed to keep the models simple and easy to animate. The laces are always there, but they’re not on his base model and not drawn unless mentioned.

As somebody who was in 5th grade when Toy Story was released, I can confirm it was released in 1995. I loved it back then because the animation style was so different. I also remember the big boom of popularity in the early 2000’s because I used to babysit twins, and one of them used to say he was Buzz Lightyear and I was Jessie, and he was going to marry me on the highest mountain. That would have been around 2004-2005. Edited to add: The twins also had their bedrooms decorated in mostly Toy Story decor and they had all the toys. I also remember they would ask me to play pretend with them when I babysat (yes, my 19-20 year old ass played pretend with these boys) and it was always them as different characters, but the one who always called himself Buzz would always choose to be Buzz, and the other twin would always be a dragon, and they would always tell me I was a princess and the “Dragon” twin would always kidnap me and take me to the dungeon (trampoline) and the “Buzz” twin would always rescue me. All these memories made me smile. It’s been 20 years since then, and the twins are all grown up and being amazing men.

Same! Though I was born in 1990, I still remember seeing Toy Story in theatres when I was 5. I think Hailey's just too young and probably wasn't alive in 95 so of course doesn't remember, she didn't exist or couldn't form memories yet. 🤦♀️ The Toy Story part of this video seriously irked me. Also, it's not weird for Toy Story _toys,_ specifically Woody, Buzz, and Jesse, and sometimes other characters, to be available to buy year round, regardless of if there's a movie out or not. They just change the packaging and toys when a movie comes out, but Toy Story is about... toys, it's easy to since make merchandise for. It's also one of those super popular franchises like Star Wars, Batman, Cars, and every Disney Princess, which all have toys selling year round, every year, an Toy Story is simply one of those.

I think the headset/Britney Spears Mandela Effect comes from that Britney would wear a black headset during so many of her live performances that it became like Michael Jackson’s white sparkly glove, synonymous with the artist. The human brain is weird and creates associations that might not have actually happened Edit: with the BINGO song I remember saying either “there was a farmer who had a dog” or “there was a farmer, he had a dog, and Bingo was his name-o”
@solarsystym11672 жыл бұрын
I could be wrong but wasn't there an entire episode of spongebob centred entirely around him not having his shoes tied? thats wild edit : so glad she brought up the sentence on the rearview mirror. when I saw Lorde's Mood Ring music video, it says in the beginning, "objects in mirror are closer than they appear" & I remember it looking so strange to me like almost off-putting. I figured she's from New Zealand so, I thought to myself, maybe they have it worded differently(?) omggg

with a lot of the Mandela-effected names i think it's a matter of what sounds better: it makes more sense and it sounds better with FebrEeze, the old Bingo song also flows more naturally with the 'and' between clauses, not SO bummer summer also has a better ring to it and the line "this is the song that never ends" encapsulates the concept of the song without needing to sing the verses to understand that the song, in fact, NEVER ends

I think the headset actually is something people remember from the doll! That thing was plastered everywhere- if it was just a Barbie dressed in a red jumpsuit it would be harder to tell it's Britney... so they added a headset to make it more obvious- I'm assuming the reason for the costume being that way is the same. I truly couldn't picture the headset when she was first saying to do so I could just remember the super strong hairstyle.
@CoraDagger842 жыл бұрын
@@samanthakavanagh7034 headsets especially back then were a symbol foe pop stars, they all had those head sets. the head set was never in the video. A lot of the dolls had either head mics or hand held mics even if they werent used in the videos. the "sometimes" doll had a hand held mic but wasnt in the video. Just a prop thrown in cause its a pop star doll, but def the costumes were using the dolls as a reference

I was 9 when the Bayside Boys remix of Macarena came out in 1996 which was when the song really took off as the original was a much slower song. When this party version came out I remember that it was such a huge hit that the local newspapers here in the UK printed the dance moves to the song with pictures in the paper and that is how me and all my friends learnt the dance and it definitely included crossing across the body and the hand flips. I feel old now haha 😄
