It's more than fine to have 'slow days' where your productive things are the things we see as little or not success based. As I get older (25 now) I appreciate these moments and realise I'm more able to do the higher priority things once my smaller or littler things are done in a chill day ❤

Hailey I've been doing meditation for 14 years and I go to a Zen meditation group most Tuesday nights and the Sensei often tells me in our 1:1 small meetings that even a Sensei's mind wanders the goal is not only to reduce the wandering but be more aware of when it is and have compassion for yourself when it does and guide your mind back gently and with love.

I feel the same way about meditation, an hour later my stress feels the same again. But my therapist says even though it feels like it didn’t do anything, stress is cumulative so if you don’t chip away at it with mini self care moments like meditation that it would be a lot worse without it and lead to depression or anxiety spirals. After she said that it made me a little more motivated to continue even though sometimes it feels like stress negates the effect.

Just came back to your channel after quite a while as I drifted away from booktube in general but seeing your content has changed a little over the last month and is more of what I’m watching atm. So looking forwards to seeing what you put out there :)

You said you were looking for non-Western historical fictions; I think you would really like "the island of sea women"! It's a historical novel set on the Korean island of Jeju.

Hi Hailey I did not realize that you live in Canada - I wish I did. I love Canada. I have seen Niagra Falls on the Canadian Side and also on the US Side. I have been to Canada. I get on the Toronto Public Library Website to see what New Books they have and that is where I get most of my titles from. I love their Website. It’s Fantastic. I enjoyed this Vlog. You are Blessed to have a Pool. Take Care & Happy Reading ❤️🤗🔰📚📒📗☕️☀️❤️

How do you pick which book to read physically and which to listen to? I have a hard time with that and always end up regretting having spend this much on an audiobook I end up reading in ebook. 😅
