The Thirteenth Tale probably fits best in historical fiction. While I haven't read The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, the description of it always made me think of The Thirteenth Tale.

Have you ever heard of LibraryThing? I use it to keep track of all my books, and you’re able to divide them into many different collections. Just the other day I made a new collection to help me keep track of all the books I own that I haven’t read, it’s super helpful! It’s also nice to be able to see what I own when I’m out at second hand shops so I don’t accidentally buy one I already own.

Completely Melanie does a series on seeing what she read in past hauls. I think it's hauls from 3 years ago (or longer). Could be fun to see you do the same. She does it as a way to add to her monthly tbr, and has her viewers vote on the book(s) to read (1 book per 10 unread). It's read, unread or unhauled.

Just a couple pronunciation tips (because I’m that annoying person) Jimenez is Spanish, so the j sounds like an h. So it’s ‘he-MEN-ez’ Mhairi has a couple of pronunciations, but the author herself said her name is pronounced ‘VAH-ree’ (‘mh’ makes the v sound in Gaelic)

Salaam with love by Sara Sharaf Beg is a love story that happens during Ramadan and is really good. I loved saints and misfits by S K Ali. I haven't read misfit in love yet but I have it on my TBR as well as you truly assumed by Laila Sabreen. The Thirteenth Tale is a great story, it reminds me a little of seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo.

I read The Authencity Project back in 2021 and loved it! Even thinking of having a reread in 2023. I also read Reminders of Him this year and it was okay. However, at some point, I feel like the smut slows the pace and takes away from the plot which I had a hard time with. Loved the video! :)

I'd like to see you do the Disney ones first. Not because I want to read them but because if you do a reading blog and get through a good number that is a decent amount off your list. Don't feel bad about the Maas books, they are still on mine too just because they are massive!

I've added so many books to my own TBR from this video! 😅 Super excited for you to read Graceling, it was a fantastic world that sucked me in so fast! I wasn't as enamored by Bitterblue, which was sad, but that first book is one I go back to again & again. 😊 You also reminded me that I had started The Dream Runners and then life got in the way of finishing it, I'll have to go pick it up again & knock it off my list!

Haven't read almost any of these lol. I did read Grown, Song of Achilles and Song of wraiths and ruin and loved them both, 5 stars. Really enjoyed Little fires everywhere, 4 stars. Also read Hamnet, which wasn't for me, but I'm not a historical fiction fan (yet) (Also DNFed two of the books, but won't mention those)

I'm Not Dying With You Tonight is a good book. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The title caught my attention and I just had to read it. I tend to let the covers or titles determine what book I read by what catches my attention. Another book I read that I really enjoyed where the title also caught my attention was Four-Letter Word by Christa Desir. I can't wait to read the Twisted Tales. My favorite Villains are Maleficent, Hades and Ursula so I cannot wait to read those retellings. I also want to read their back stories. I would love to see a Colleen Hoover reading vlog. You seem to have a lot of her books on your TBR and I have heard A LOT these last few months about CoHo.

Can someone clear up what the difference is between a sequel and a companion for me please? :) I loved how much effort you put into this Hailey ❤
@laurenslibrary39712 жыл бұрын
A sequel is a continuation of a story/series, usually for any genre other than romance. You would need to read the series books in order for sequels. For companion novels, they are usually just within the romance genre (these novels just feature different characters/couples within the same world/setting). You do not need to read all the books or read them in order for companion novels. That’s the gist, though there are exceptions for companion novels in different genres 😊
