Not sure if you read the comments before re-uploading, but I still think you should choose a couple of highlighters (e.g. a cream/liquid, like the Charlotte Tilbury wand, and a powder, like one of your MAC highlighters) to have in your everyday makeup drawer and rotate them every month or so instead of trying to pan any so that you can actually enjoy using some of the special ones on your face (e.g. MAC x Robert Lee Morris). I also still think that if you want a highlight in your project pan anyway, it should either be something from a permanent line so it can be repurchased if you miss it, or something older or a cream/liquid that you love so much that you'd be sad if it went bad before you could use it up.

Ok, so when Becca went under there was a lot of consumer feedback that a couple of their hero products would be badly missed, such as the under eye corrector and the shimmering skin perfector, so Estee Lauder released them under Smashbox. It's weird to me because i figured Smashbox was headed for the same fate as Becca. Eta: i feel like the nail in the coffin for Becca was that stupid clear foundation balm 😂

I think their products were built around highlighters and other products that nobody could use up. So, no natural replacement cycle to get repeat sales, after a certain point people have too many highlighters.

I forgot about that stupid clear foundation! I loved BECCA before they sold to Estee Lauder. They had some amazing products. It wasn't the same after they sold.

I think Smashbox has some staple products for people and a loyal fan base. People have to realize there is a whole world outside of beauty KZbin & Tik Tok. It only scratches the surface for consumers and their interests. The primers, foundations, makeup brushes from Smashbox are fantastic! Also love the liquid eyeshadows they released a few years ago🤷‍♀️

I cut open my Lisa Eldridge blush tube and scraped out the blush into an empty powder compact. I worked on panning it for a year, thinking I would throw it out after that because it would get dried out. I got pan in a corner, but it is still going! 😅I bought Tahiti, I think? It is a bright coral, too deep for me, and while I can use a brush in the compact I only need a tiny bit. Smashbox still sells the Becca corrector in US Sephora. The Hypothermia highlighter is how I found Beauty News, I love it that we all still have it. 🩵

Put colored tabs next to your highlighters, for example put a blue tab next to your Berlin Girl. When you look in your drawer you know exactly what you have and what you want to add to your look.

My marc Jacobs bronzer did the same thing. I tried to push it down once and it broke! Not completely, but I lost a lot of product. Be careful

Interesting about the Eldridge blush because I have the opposite problem. It comes out easily but it has separated into a clear liquid and then the color part. Really annoying.
