HUGE thank you to Courtney for sharing her story, tips, and tricks. I was diagnosed with androgenic alopecia 15 years ago and to say it’s been a struggle is an understatement. I love the spin that Courtney has on it that God knew she’d be able to rock this out- and she absolutely proved that today! Blessings to you both!

I'm there with ya! I'm a "long-hauler covid survivor, besides my heart, lungs, kidneys & liver still in repair, my hair loss was so stressful! I already have baby fine natural blonde hair (at 60 y/o), so that doesn't help. I've tried several PY wigs, hate them all. So I'm thrilled Courtney has bravely shared another way for me. Thanks ladies! You gals are so awesome! Blessings!!

Sudden hair loss can be so frustrating and really affect your self-confidence. Although it can be genetic ,one of the things that can cause it is also anemia & lack of iron! If we notice brittle nails and hair loss, this or any other vitamin deficiency could be the reason and so getting a blood test (at the online, no doctor's appointment required Private MD Labs) and making sure this isn't the cause can be game changing. Hope this helps! Thanks Courtney!

Being a stylist of nearly a decade, I can tell you, that you are not meant to apply strong hair shampoo on your hair. I've noticed hair lines of so many people, and I spotted that individuals who were using harsh shampoos generally had weak hair line. So I advise only to use mild shampoo only. I personally use and recommend to use littleextrra coconioon shampoo only. Also, do warm oil massage twice a week as it boosts circulation and stimulates hair.

I lost over half my hair. My husband died suddenly. Just 4 weeks later my mom was diagnosed with terminal cancer, also dying that year, and then my best friend died, all while getting 5 kids through it all. I had been with my husband since we were teens. I was 41 when he died, and I found his body. I was barely functioning, couldn't eat and always having had tons of long hair, it just became falling out in clumps. It is slowly starting back, but it is a fight and I'm still dealing with grief, stress, depression, anxiety and PTSD, having no issues before they all died.

Thank you so much Dominique, and especially Courtney for addressing this issue. I to am suffering from hair loss. Had thyroid cancer and my doctor said here in Pa. that the two are not connected! The medical doctors here in this area of Pa. are very behind in stuff like this. And it’s very hard to get even a dermatologist since there are is only one or so in the area that I live in. Courtney, thank you for being incredibly brave to share your story on a public platform. Having Dominique next to you for support was so heartwarming and a true testament to her loving heart. I had trichotillomania (trich) for over 30 years that progressively got worse. I tried multiple ways to disguise my hair loss, and was always self-conscious about my self inflicted thinning hair. About 6-7 years ago I discovered the CNC hair system that has been a major life changer! This product is the Ferrari of hair extension and helps women with mild thinning hair to no hair. The piece is customizable according to the clients needs. I wish I would’ve discovered this when I was younger! You are both beautiful women who add so much value to women’s lives. After suffering 10 years of hair loss, the cause was found to be low ferritin. I had the same symptoms as hypothyroidism but the problem was not with the thyroid but with iron levels. Now that the ferritin value has risen the hair loss has calmed down and new hair has grown. I have always had problems with hemoglobin and complained to my doctor about constant fatigue but never checked my ferritin values until I realized asking for it four years ago. The doctor advised me to take iron every other day. This allows the iron to be absorbed better. I took Thyroxin due to symptoms of hypothyroidism but not anymore. Thyroxin helped part of my symptoms but not hairloss and tiredness. Now that my ferritin value has risen I don’t have any symptoms of hypothyroidism. Hope this helps someone😊

Something to keep in mind when using Rogaine in a house with pets is that it is toxic/deadly to cats and dogs. If some drips on the floor or counter and they walk through it and lick their paws, it can be a really bad deal and it doesn’t take much. 🐱🐶

My dear, you don't have to keep doing several and several treatments, or spend "fortunes" with chemical products that are often bad for our health, if you cut your hair on the correct dates, they stop falling out and within 3/4 months they are already beautiful and bulky. I lost about 60/70% of my hair, I could see my scalp from all the hair I lost, I did every type of treatment you can imagine and I used dozens of products and vitamins to stop my hair from falling out (in this I spent a small fortune and nothing worked) I had already lost my hopes of having my hair back and I was only able to reverse this problem by cutting it on the correct dates and for you to know your correct haircut date, you need to do as I did , I asked a gentleman who indicated his work to do my exact haircut dates and as soon as I received these dates and cut my hair on the indicated days my hair stopped falling out and went back to normal (I think it even got prettier and healthier than before), if you want to get in touch with this gentleman, just ask me and I'll give you his email so you can get in touch with him and ask for his exact dates to cut your hair, which he delivers to you and he doesn't cover If you don't want anything in the first three months, during this time you can see if it's working or not, if it is, if you want, keep cutting your hair on the dates he gives you, if you want to cut more, just don't ask him to pass the dates anymore exact haircut dates, but it doesn't hurt to at least try for the first three months that he passes exact haircut dates. If you want his contact (email) just ask and I'll let you know and you don't have to pay anything for that either

My endocrinologist was the one who discovered that I had hypothyroidism and have been getting hair loss. My primary physicians never checked for this, so it's important to go to a specialist. I only use high quality hair products and have found that those are best for me. A lot of products will strip your color, so your hair might appear thicker, but not be in as good a condition as you would like. My hair stylist has also told me that anytime you spray a wet product on your hair, you should not just put it on your roots and you should always dry it in. I wash my hair about 3 times a week and try not to use too many products.

I always watch your hair videos, despite my recent hair loss struggles. This one was so helpful. Thank you Courtney for all of your tips and tricks. After being told I was imagining the huge handfuls of hair falling out in my hands when I washed it by my doctor, I spent hours and hours trawling the internet determined to bring some confidence back in way of hair. It’s been a real struggle to go from a huge mass of thick curly hair to virtually nothing but I’m making progress. 7 months on I have stopped the snapping, breaking and shedding cycle. And though I had to have it cut into a very short bob to avoid the straggly string like wispiness on the longer pieces. It’s now approaching collar length and the first 2inches of new growth is so much thicker and stronger and I’m confident it will look good again in another year. Good luck with your journey Courtney and to everyone else who is really struggling with their hair loss issues xx

Ah ladies I wish I could my finger on a specific item but with trying so many different things all at the same time it very difficult to pin point. What I do know to be true is when I began taking a very high strength vitamin D supplement I noticed there wasn’t handfuls of hair when I washed it in the sink. (I had to stop wasting my hair in the shower as clogged my drains). I think was probably the one change I noticed a difference within a week or so, and if I run out or forget to take them for say a week my hair does shed again. So that and the fact I haven’t coloured it since Sept 2021 (as I used to dye it every couple of months , but just throw on a colour which looked similar in the box rather than following the instructions and just doing the roots) this contributed to a lot of breakage of the hair that hadn’t fallen out at the roots. One huge thing I also remember that could have contributed was I used to eat at least a dozen eggs per week as my mum had chickens and she would make me take some eggs home and I didn’t want to waste them. Once she became Ill and the chickens went I didn’t enjoy the taste of them the same and stopped eating them all the time. And someone somewhere posted a lack of protein in your diet can affect hair growth, so I try to have at least one a day . Also a got a smoothing attachment for my dyson which takes the frizz from my hair when drying and eliminates the need to over straighten. It was a cheap replica attachment for less than £20 on Amazon but I can dry my hair on a low heat high speed and it really avoids the burning process of running straightners through it multiple times. Wish you both the best of luck as it’s really trail and error to find out what the cause is for you ❤️❤️your not alone though xx

I feel the same way, I hide in my house and when I do go out I wear a big floppy hat. (Also because I have had skin cancer on my face twice) people are so mean too they make fun of me and stare even when I’m with my child! I think I’m just going to shave it off and wear headscarves. I know this sounds weird but so many people have had hair loss issues since the pandemic and 5G was launched on to the public.

I so understand. When Courtney first came on with less hair, I thought, lucky her. She can put a little brush on or spray and look fine. I have practically no hair. I wear extensions, but there's not much hair to keep them in. I use the individual ones, bonded on and left in. Her hair looks amazing today, even without the extensions she uses. I might be hopeless. I have always taken such good care of myself, including my hair. It was probably radiation for cancer and/or many x-rays of my neck because of TMJ. All about 20 years ago. It's just that what little is there keeps on coming out. I need to try some of these things and see if anything happens. So sorry for those of you who really have nearly no hair. It is very depressing. I have yet to see a video where the women have as little hair as I do. Always searching for one.

This was amazing!! Courtney has helped so many by sharing her story, tips, and tricks! My hair started thinning about 13 years ago. Thank goodness I started out with a lot of hair. Went to the Dr several times and like Courtney, I never received any answers. I’ve not found a remedy for my situation. I was also given spironalactone. It as well as topicals didn’t seem to make a big difference and I was concerned about the long term impact. I typically wear my hair up which makes it easier for me to hide that my hair is thin. I also use the root spray which is a godsend! If I ever wear it down, I also use extensions. I really enjoyed seeing how Courtney layered hers on top of one another. I will definitely try that. Thank you for addressing this painful issue and helping us hold on to our confidence through these great styling tips!

I have always had a lot of hair, and almost 10 years ago I lost about 2/3 of it. It was devastating. And to other people it sounds shallow but when you wake up every day and it is thinner and thinner - it’s unsettling. It was due to hormones and vitamin deficiencies and likely a low carb diet. Now most of it is back but I just still have thinning at the temples - maybe due to just aging. I use rogaine and a red light hair cap, and I have some tape in extensions. I also love when I get my hair colored because it looks so full (I have very dark hair). You have done an awesome job of being positive. It isn’t easy. And it’s comforting to know that most women struggle when their hair is lost as it IS a part of our femininity. I didn’t realize how much of my identity was tied to my hair! I try not to let it be my identity anymore and am just thankful for what I have, as I assume overtime my thinning areas will just progress. But we have to live in the moment and set up our routines to set us up for as much success as possible.

Literally crying watching this video! I was diagnosed with a drone tic alopecia last year after three years of being told I was experiencing telogen effluvium. I have gone over thousands of videos and did research on how to salvage my hair, but nothing ever was directed specifically towards what I was going through! It’s been so emotional, and I do not feel beautiful anymore. I have remained hopeful though, and I’ve just started spiro and I’m hoping for some positive results. Most research I’ve found says spiro has only helped with their acne. I’ve used minoxidil for a year but I’m horrible at staying consistent. I do my best, but I also find the foam is difficult to apply throughout, since it’s not just one patch. I’ve recently considered going back to the liquid serum. Courtney and I are going through the same thing almost word for word. I’m in the middle of my hair loss treatment for androgenic alopecia now. It’s been a huge mystery for me because no one on either side of my family has hair loss or thinning hair. I’ve done the blood tests, thyroid tests and my dermatologist has prescribed the same spironolactone. However, she gave me an additional prescription for oral minoxidil which is a higher strength than the OTC minoxidil. That combo has been so effective. We will be doing PRP in the fall. It’s a shame that PRP for alopecia isn’t considered a “medically necessary” treatment by insurance companies because it can be pricy! Hopefully Courtney continues to see progress!

It took 6 months of begging my doc before quite frankly telling her ck my thyroid. Sure enough. So on pills I went and much improved. However my hair is still thin and I can see my scalp . It’s the frustration that has followed me since 2019 . Getting my doc to take me seriously has promoted me to change doc . 💜

Thank you, Courtney, for sharing your story. As I watched this story, it reminded me of what I personally experienced nearly a decade ago. Here is my unsolicited advice. If you went to traditional Western MD for your thyroid testing, it is very possible they did not run a complete thyroid panel on you. Six markers make up a 'complete thyroid' panel vs. the typical three that are usually run. I recommend using a Naturopath or Functional MD who is well versed in examining you for ‘sub-optimal’ thyroid FUNCTION and upstream HPA-axis imbalance. Sub-optimal as in ‘are you on your way to developing a thyroid problem’ vs. having already fallen off the edge and being diagnosed with Hashimoto's or slower thyroid function. The markers on your lab work represent the 'general public' and a diagnoses represents when you've fallen off the edge of that insanely wide range.. You present as I did - I was sub-optimal. The benefit of learning if you are sub-optimal is that there are things you can do to dial it back without medication (or close to remission) BEFORE your thyroid is compromised. I wish you the best and hope this information can help you or someone else. Reversing my sub-optimal markers got my body composition back, my hair (which is thick and 1/2 down my back), and much more. Maintaining optimal markers is the goal and can yield AMAZING benefits. Be well!

One product I'd like to recommend is "got 2 b Fatastic thickening plumping mousse" It's totally a game changer. I apply just at the top/crown and bit down the sides before styling. It really gives my hair the thickness and fullness nothing else does. I don't want to take any meds and I used rogaine for quite a few years with a little success. I had sent him to a private school to get the best education I thought. It turned out he was being bullied and did some things that were bad and got kicked out of this school. Long story short he went to a public school no one picked on him. He did great academically and had friends, girlfriends, went to dances and proms and had a normal school year. @@friedrichengels9216 My hair shed in 2014 and almost all of it fell offfrom my ears forward within the first six months of living at a nursing home after I had a stroke at age 46. It grew back sort of thinly over the next two years but did not get full to its original thickness until approximately 2019. It has been completely fine and is actually looking lovely these days. I know people say that there are no natural remedies that work with hair loss but I did have a small amount of success by using Haitian black castor oil on the affected area. It may just work that it makes the hair smoother and lets a comb go through easier so it snags last and that’s why your hair seems to grow better in those areas . You may want to do some research of your own in this area as I am not extremely knowledgeable about it but it did help me a little. I’m happy to answer any other questions you may have.

Excellent video. I'm in my 60s and a few years ago, I noticed a lot of hair shedding. (My hair had always been thick and both parents had very good hair). A the time, there was a real paradigm shift in my life: I retired, a family member was very ill and in a nursing home and his partner was relying on me for support. The stress of the situation triggered this hair loss plus, my hormones had to be checked ( I take bioidenticals) as well as any dietary deficiencies. I also made the huge decision to stop coloring my hair and that was a biggie but honestly, it made the biggest difference. Three years later, my hair came back stronger than ever; I love the streaks of silver and I am very aware of my nutrition. I stopped drinking alcohol (personal choice), and prayed a lot. I use collagen and take supplements as well. Thank you, Dominique and a special thank you to Courtney for being so open and honest about your journey.

I have found that a really good nutritional diet with no sugar or seed oils along with only organic foods helped me immensely. I also found that a vitamin D3 deficiency was causing some thyroid issues and it probably contributed to the hair loss. I think Courtney's hair now looks great...even better with the extensions. Her tips were much appreciated. She is beautiful inside and out!

Love this girl!! So positive about her hair loss journey!! I decided to have the same attitude and approach when I started losing my hair (also, was always fine hair to begin with)!! Knew it was for a reason and I had the hudspuh to handle it and "rock" it!! Bravo, Courtney and thanks so much for the awesome ideas!!!

I’ve been dealing with hair loss since right after the birth of my first child 42 years ago. I basically do all the same tricks as Courtney, but I do not use hair extensions. I go on eBay and type in Toppik Colored hair thickener, in a 5.1 oz bottle for $17 and change. I’ve been using this root coverup for many years. I also have done 2 different hair transplants, and PRP treatments, and my hair still looks thin. Thanks for discussing this topic, I’m sure it will help many feel just a little but better trying new products, and walking around with their heads held high! TFS😊

Thank you for this incredible content! Thanks also to Courtney for your vulnerability and honesty! It is very depressing to lose your hair. I have been in a journey as well. It is overwhelming! I so appreciate all the doctors’ advice and Courtney sharing her advice on how to style your hair! Another great video!❤️

Dominique, just wanted to let you know I pre-ordered your book from Amazon, and I am finding it to be as enjoyable as your videos. I plan on ordering it for my two daughters and my granddaughter. Great writing by you. Everyone probably thinks you had it easy because of your great personality, I believe you follow the rule I have always followed, that when you don't seem to be where you want to be you just work that much harder and keep smiling. 💞

Avoid the glue on individual hair extensions if you are losing hair as they make it worse Thanks for a really good video Dominique 🙏

Doesn't affect me, but I know a sad problem when I see it. A little ingenuity and great products do well until a miracle comes along
