the key to having healthy hair is to get trims when needed and condition your hair when you don't have a planned hair do but conditioner is something that will never hurt your hair and for me i like to trim my hair every three weeks but some say every time the seasons change you should trim but i find my hair to get a little limp if i wait that long
@PAYBACQCHIQ12 жыл бұрын
i have very curly hair and i always thought that i needed a relaxer to have straight hair and boy was i wrong. the flat iron is the best thing that man ever made. i stopped relaxing my hair i have not had a relaxer in over 20 years and my hair is very healthy and long when i don't cut it all off but the key to long hair is to trim when needed and always condition

They don't sound stuck up, maybe a little unenthusiastic, but not stuck up. I think there's some underlying jealousy behind some of these comments. These girls are gorgeous with beautiful and healthy hair. They have some great pointers as to what they use to maintain their healthy hair.
@Ilikefrogs..13 жыл бұрын
@QTSJz Well, they are right. The way a relaxer works is by breaking down the protein bonds in your hair which automatically makes it weaker, ie. more susceptible to breakage. This can be remedied if you look after it properly, but a lot of people don't.

They have a video of them showing us their hair from start to finish.I have thick and curly hair and to get mine flat. I wash it, flat iron it (getting the roots really good), then I leave it wrapped over night. When I comb it down in the morning it's straight and has a lot of body. As the days pass my hair gets even more straight as I continue to leave it wrapped over night. Hope this helped. But check out that video =)

I loved this video! I have really thick curly hair also and like whenever i straighten it its so pretty... for like ten seconds then its like POOF. One time i was cooking spaghetti for a dinner date and i had just done my hair. Tell me why as soon as i strained the noodles my hair immediately frizzed up from the humidity. I was so sad. That serum you guys recommended really helped alot with mantaining the straightness! Thanks!...and btw i am the same way about my conditioner!! I have to have it!

This is very true. As an african, who still lives in africa and is surely 100% black,i can say we relax and fix weaves a lot! This is because our hair is thick & coarse,most of us don't like the stress of maintaining natural hair. So people saying relaxing hair makes it seem like you don't like being black is funny to me cos most africans don't care about all that.This relaxed vs natural thing is unnecessary cos we who are really all black don't care.It's whats inside that counts not your hair!!
@leeyung113 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing your products! It's really appreciated. It's true what Kendra said, please mention things like the heat protectant because alot of Black ppl don't know about that. I just learnt about that this year. We usually just perm our hair so there has never been a need to heat straighten thus no need for a protectant and the old school way to straighten afro hair didn't include a heat protectant any way. Curl wax was used. Healthy afro hair is a new thing believe it or not :).

@sweetgirly123pie they arent that mixed. and they blow dry their hair straight before they straighten, so that allows their hair to get straighter. all hair is good hair, ours is just more difficult

@QTSJz Relaxers and perms however are bad for anyone's hair. Whenever these substances are spread onto someone's hair the hair is damaged. However if the hair was healthy from the very beginning, less damage occurs. Overall, the chemicals in perms have been known

Is any hair coming out when you use a wide tooth comb to detangle. Its a better idea to use a vented brush to detangle starting from the ends. Any how, you ladies are very beautiful keep motivating all the young ladies to wear their natural hair (no relaxer). Thanks

Hey, ladies! I just joined your channel not too long ago. Was wondering if you haven't already, could you do a tutorial on how you trim your ends? Thank you so much!
@chitownbulls2713 жыл бұрын
@QTSJz No, not at the moment. I had one once when I was 13, but I decided I was to lazy to straighten my hair all the time and I'm mixed so my hair curls nicely so I decided I not to get them anymore. But I don't have anything against people who use relaxers do what makes you feel sexy I guess. :)

Can you do a makeup tutorial on this look?
@Ilikefrogs..13 жыл бұрын
@reneehs94 When I started growing out my hair natural (last year) it was shoulder length, now it's midback, so obviously, you can grow it that long in a year. There are a lot of websites that teach you how to grow black hair quickly. And it's been almost a year since they started this channel so it's probably been two years now since they last relaxed their hair.
