Your trick is you do it yourself 😂 every time I do my own my hair and wear my own hair it flourishes. Most stylists just aren’t gentle and use way too much heat when heat styling. Your hair is gorgeous btw ❤

Sis, you’ve hit the nail on the head! I recall going with my mom years ago to her salon appointments… saying to her on the way home, “she fried your hair!” I know only one currently that’s very gentle - my daughter’s stylist while she’s away at college. ☺️ I am sure you have the “Midas touch” and your hair thanks you for it! ✨ I appreciate that and you, thank you for being “here”! 🥰🫶🏽✨

@@staciep2638 Oh Sis, yes, certainly I’ve seen it and experienced it. It’s almost like some of them sabotage your hair so that you must return over and over. Sadly… I was so happy when we found the amazing beautician that my daughter visits while she’s away at college. She’s a godsend. There are very few and far between who are like her stylist, with gentle hands and thoughtfulness (as it relates to taking care of hair versus “doing hair“.)

The natural hair industrial complex is a scam. This KZbinr is a breath of fresh air because she’s not peddling 85 different products at a high price point that are “necessities” for a solid hair routine Follow “Curly Chemistry”. She’s a black cosmetic chemist and she has even said herself that leave in conditioner, rinse out conditioner, and moisturizing low protein deep conditioners are essentially the same. The only difference is the amount of dilution

Your hair is absolutely gorgeous...wash and go's or straight!!! Love the sprinkles of gray! Do you use heat protectant? If so which one? Is the Argan oil used periodically between washes or after the wash before flat ironing? Do you use any moisturizers between washes? 2 of my sisters wear their hair straight primarily and their hair is long and beautiful like yours. Do you work out or have a specific regimen for the hot, humid seasons? Where did you purchase your hair clamps? They appear very sturdy and long lasting. I hope you consider doing a blow dry video. You did a beautiful job with the blow out and straightening process. Sorry for the questions. Thank you for sharing.
@whattowearhereandthere9 ай бұрын
Hiiii! Thank you so much for the many questions, I do not mind at all! First off, I want to say thank you so very kindly. I really appreciate that and you. I typically do not use a heat protectant. I know that’s against popular opinion - I have tried some in the past, and I will dig them up, and maybe give them a try to let you know my thoughts and why I stopped. Off the top, I do recall that hair protectants make my hair feel brittle, and “unflowy”. However , it could be the brands that I have used. I will try to do some research, and test some out. Thank you for asking about that, it will give me something to share! I use the Argan oil every other day usually , it really depends on if I am going somewhere, or filming content. I do not use anything but Argan oil, between washes. At times, I use certain products to sleek back my ponytail, which I will be sharing in an upcoming video. However, I do not use moisturizers typically between washes. Well, it sounds like you must have beautiful hair as well … given that you say that your sisters do. ☺️ That’s awesome! I do work out, and I will also be sharing what I do to keep my hair protected during my workouts. You will be surprised! I don’t do too much to keep it from sweating out. I am working on that! I certainly am considering doing a blow dry video. A few people have asked me how I got it straight before flat ironing it. I sincerely appreciate you for being “here”and for posing these questions. You don’t know how much you have helped me consider what to do next! 🫶🏽✨💫💕

Also a good tip that I feel helped me while shedding was rinsing my hair with green tea after washing. Steep organic green tea bags (2), let them cool and I added the tea into a bottle with a squirt nozzle. Apply to scalp. Always remember to close up your follicles by rinsing with cold water. I am still on my hair journey… I did a mini chop back in 2015, I have been natural for 9 years… I have had some setbacks, and I have been stress lately and I am trying to get that under control… I stopped going to the hair salon 3-4 years ago cause I call myself going for the Cruella Deville look instead of her dying the front part of my all at once… She had me to come back the next following day to get it whiter, and when she did that the front part of my hair started breaking off real bad 😮… I was pissed 😤 but you would think for someone who went to school, and own their own shop will know that… But I should have known better so I stopped going to the hair salon, and started doing my own hair, I grew my own hair out including the front part of my hair that broken off… All I did was wash it, deep condition, braided it up in four plaques, and had my hair tucked away… I also starting to embrace my gray strands, I will normally pull them out I stopped doing it.
@whattowearhereandthere9 ай бұрын
Sweet Sis, first… yes you must stop stressing. I pray you release whatever is stressing you because we know that serves as a factor in shedding. 🙏🏽 Next… congratulations on being natural for almost a decade! 🎉 I’m so sorry that the stylist put you and your hair through that. The good thing is that it’s hair… this connected to a life source… so as long as you’re living and showing love to your tresses…. It will love you back and begin/ continue to flourish! 🌸💫 Yes… sometimes we trust others more than ourselves. It’s lesson learned! Yep… plaiting it does wonders, according to my mother - when my daughter was a baby, and her hair was slowly coming in, she looked like me, in that baby picture that I shared on my video… (bald) ☺️ My mother put little plaits all over her hair, and her hair sprouted out like crazy! It’s time to embrace Sis! You’re like me… wanting them to go away… but they’re here… let’s show them love! 🤍🫶🏽✨
