If someone lost their front teeth in an accident nobody thinks anything if you get false replacement teeth. It should be know different with hair replacement. I think very few people would make fun of you for getting your hair replaced. I think most guys have a fear of losing their hair and like that there is an option to get back to normal.

I really like how your videos about the psychological, as well as physical. PLEASE, keep up the good work. By the way, I am a 62yr old man that is able to keep my hair looking good enough with dermmatch and toppik. I went to a local woman/hair dressor back in January and ordered 2 hair systems for me, and she will attach them and keep them up for me. One issue I have is the hair systems haven't arrived yet. I am concerned about having to wait this long to get them. She (the hairdresor) did tell me it could take up to 8 months. This is just 1 concern. Any advice is welcomed. Thank you!

I love you hair system you have on Jake . Just started looking into Systems and was wondering if you have to measure your scalp to get an accurate system ? Can you measure it without shaving your head ? Do you just send the measurements into lordehair or whoever your buying from ?I don’t want to measure it and not have the system on hand .sorry for all the question any help would be really appreciated ,I’m really eager to start the process

You make what is called a template and there are many videos on KZbin that show you how to do it. If you want to send it in then you’re looking to get a custom piece which is a long wait time right now, 3-4 months at least from most vendors. If you buy a stock like most of us do then you use your template and cut it to the size of the template yourself. Also many videos explaining and showing how to do that. It’s not hard but there’s a particular way to do it so you don’t mess up the system

Why do with hair systems they leave so much of the forehead out, why not close to what it was before hair loss started ?

Most men with hair loss have receded temples, so if they go for a low hair line it will look very unbelievable where it connects at the temples.

I’m super stressed. I finally got a hair system 5 weeks ago, and never been happier. Looked so much better, felt so much better. But now I’m having tons of trouble with my system. Itchy scalp, hard to adhere to my scalp. It’s been a lot of working, I’ve had to change and reinstall my system 10 times in 5 weeks. It loosens so fast, and it itches like crazy. I’ve done all the necessary cleaning and maintenance. It’s exhausting, and I am trying hard to keep with it, because I genuinely love having hair again. But it’s definitely been hard so far

I've had the exact same experience. I love the way I look with hair, I am already decently good looking and the hair just adds so much. But dear God the itch is terrible. I workout 2 hours a day and it's summer, the itch will literally be unbearable after 3 days of having it on. I posted about this on a hair system forum and basically got gaslighted by the members saying I didn't use proper adhesive or that I didn't apply enough of it. Lace systems are a bit better but they are a nightmare for guys who need longevity out of their system. Not to mention they are a lot harder to conceal compared to poly. It honestly sucks being in this situation. I only wear my hairsystem on select days now and just keep a hat on for the most part. The hair system solution still has a long way to go Codie you are not alone feeling this way.

@@kennethreed3996 I’m not really interested in buying a whole new system. I’ve spent a fortune on the one I currently have. And can’t wear it. I put it on last night at 9:00, and it’s off today by 8:00 A.M. scalp for incredibly itchy and now leaking. If you know of any tapes good for sensitive scalps, please let me know. Cheers

@@codie4978 First it sounds to me like maybe you have stubble, short hair on your scalp? If that’s the case it will definitely itch and make it harder to attach. The closer the buzz or shave the better, mine starts itching after about a week as the hair grows back. Second I would suggest a scalp protector like Walker Sport; it will reduce any irritation on the scalp since it’s a thin barrier between your skin and the glue and pretty drastically changes and extends how long the system stays attached. Lastly what type of system are you wearing and how? If you are just doing a tape perimeter then the areas not attached can easily cause irritation and itching. I prefer glue but can be done with tape as well but basically 3/4 of my system is fully attached with some small areas not just for better breathability. I personally prefer Swiss lace since it’s the most comfortable and least detectable. Hopefully this helps.

@@sammmuelspaul1946 hey Sammuel, thanks for all the great tips. Unfortunately for me, I’ve tried all these things. Including buying the best scalp protector on the market. Completely shaved scalp. Seems the issue is the adhesive eats away at my skin. I switch to their hypoallergenic tape the 1522. It gets me 1-2 days max. So I have to clean, and install every two days. Not sure if glue would work better than tape. I currently wear a mono system With a French lace front.

@@Ducksduckduck Yes. I paid $1000 for mine. It's excellent quality. Also I went to a stylist. It's cheaper than hair transplants. The surgery I was going to get was $12,000+ and the results are not guaranteed, also you have potential scars. This is the way to go man. I started loosing my hair at 15!! That was tragic impact back then early 80s big hair days!!! No internet only tv commercials tried stuff like helsinki formula. Nothing worked. I jumped quick but back then pieces were 1800 bucks. hair club for men robbed us..and now im 55 and still wearing . Tried all lace and poly units all attachments but use tape for years it is the best way for me . i can get 1year out of pieces only if it is a well.made. piece but at least 10 months . As a man it is tragic but was best thing i did for me. Now at 55 i cant see myself without it. It becomes a part of you .. dont hesitate just do it. It is now way more affordable and the systems are way more realistic and light weight. If you feel bad about hair loss just do it. This video is spot on keep it up!!👍

Like your new look Jake. Good advice. Take the leap while you are young and can take full benefit of it, then don't look back. I waited too long or rather kept waffling. Do it then work through the learning curve, you will see it all differently in a few months. There will probably be an initial high and then a low but stick with it and work through your problems now rather than later. All the best with your journey.

I'm having a bit of fear right now. I went for my first consultation. I'm not very confident and I can't make a decision. I need your expertise. I don't care about learning curves. What's the more realistic looking base? I plan to wear my hair forward, like a skater type look cause that's how I've always worn my hair. They're recommending me something called a "skin injection base". Am I better off going with what they think or should I try to buy my piece from online? I wanna use tape all around like you do. Also do you used bleached laces?

Yea join Reddit but I would avoid injected skin based since they are fairly thick and the hair can’t really be styled. A French lace is probably best for you since you don’t plan on showing your hairline and last a long time if treated properly. I’ve gotten well over a year from a stock French lace

@@derek8400 that’s great man! And it can last you longer than three months if you are careful with it. Get a good spray bottle with pure distilled water and add in a bit of quality leave in conditioner, not too much. Shower with a shower cap on and wet your hair with the spray bottle. Only shampoo the unit when you remove it and do it in a sink with distilled water, same with conditioner and make sure both are sulfate free. Stay away from hardcore styling products, there are products you can use but you have to be careful or the hair will turn bad quick. Use a silk or satin pillowcase only and be gentle when cleaning and you should be able to get 6 months no problem
