Your hair is perfect for your face. The density and the slick back look really showcases your hairline realistically.

I have very oily skin and workout at the gym everyday and my system lasts 5-7 days with a hairline touchup in between. Its absolutely possible to wear a system. Most bonds are engineered to work with oily skin, such as Ghost Bond. Awesome video as usual. Really appreciate you doing the research to help answer the many questions that still exist with hair systems

You can also get Botox in your scalp, this will reduce sweating and oil production, yes it can be pricey but it’s a solution that’s lasts for months and if your having bond issues this really does work, I have a super oily scalp and sweat at the gym 5x a week

Hey Mate!! great content, thanks for sharing all this concerns.. I am new with all this hair system world. I am leaning.. I feel comfortable but I feel my hairline doesn’t get a great level. Maybe it’s because I have an oily skin I think or I sweat but just in ny head. I don’t know I should keep going with my system. :(

Hi Jake, I absolutely love your videos, I was just wondering, in your video " This Might Be The BEST Hair System For Working Out / Sweating!" you talk about a French lace system with a poly border and I can't find one that matches it, do you have that exact name/link for that hair system, as I keep very active, thanks and keep doing what you're doing!

What about the chemicals of the glue being absorbed by the body through the scalp and possibly causing damage over time?
@angryyoungman4389
@angryyoungman4389 3 жыл бұрын
I do think it wouldn't cause much damage, And its the duty of FDA to approve the Skin Friendly products, And they conduct huge cosmetic trials! It would be as bad as effect of Lipstick on Lips. Which is insignificant, As I have seen no one who had worst effect by cosmetic products which finally it to make it market!

Hey Jake! I’m loving your videos and it’s really giving me the confidence to get myself a hair system. I want to know if you know any forums or websites I can visit and also general places I can visit for more info on hair systems and where to buy them. I live in California as well. Any help would be so greatly appreciated.

I sweat, a lot! My natural hair is very oily. That said I can expect the tape to last about 4 days at best before the hairline becomes very visible. All I've ever used is tape. And after about 4 days it literally becomes, slime. So, thank you for this video!

I have a question, daft as this may sound I feel like you could answer it, I’m looking at getting a hair system, do you have to have a certain amount of hair loss before you become eligible ( if that’s the correct word) ?

No, technically you could shave off your hair, no matter what how much you have, and attach a hair system

it is very tough to correctly hair that is color treated dark. make sure you visit a stylist. it will most likely cause some damage to the hair. from my intereactions with hair system manufacturers, they don't reccomend it. but i very large influencers dye the hair.

if you are going to wear it slicked back, go to a stylist and have them pluck thé hairline. It looks too defined. also more of a "U" type of hair line rather than the upside down U. Some bangs and/or mess it up a bit. Metrosexualize your hair lol. Mine is far from perfect I did my service ("install") last Sunday and a coworker asked me if I cut my hair and I laughed and told him it was a wig..I just styled it differently..he couldnt believe it..and my knots arent even bleached..but no one is scrutinizing your scalp. They can however see your hairline esp if its totally exposed. Mess it up a bit wear some bangs.Style it.Use product. Thé less perfect thé better. Every now and thén Ive been told my hair looks better right when I get out of bed rather than after I over style it. And then I have days when its like forget it gotta tame this rug...I have had a tendency to make mine look too perfect. 16 years into this and its a constant learning process and of course everyone will give you a different opinion of what they like ultimately its what you like that matters but sometimes out minds screw with us and its complicated which is why I often use thé cam on my phone rather than just a mirror To style because out eyes and lighting subjectively play tricks on us. Lighting is everything. In terms of styling often less is definitely more. Roughly 3 months into my current piece that I cut in myself and it actually looks better now..most would be throwing theirs out after 3 to 6 months...my currenr piece is very slighly less dense (like Ive mentioned before the place I get mine from are super durable...my hair on the sides has grown out from my failed undercut an almost perfect B+ blend with natural hair. If you scrutinize mine you can see the line between piece and natural hair if not carefully styled but overall blends well even though it needs a dye job. I am sharing this with you because at the end of thé day thé end result is what matters. And its always a work in progress Unfortunately no piece is 100% ready to be worn untill you style it as well as you can working within its limitations. Unlike réal hair these things are mendable. Remember thé piece works for you you dont work for the piece. Expériment with styling it. You have already discovered that you néed to work these pièces- style them-to get them to look good. You didnt like this one at first until you played with it and gave it volume etc. Thé slicked back expériment not thé best..I say this out of love not hate..you want to look your best. This is why I always récommend getting a piece and tweaking it along the way..instead of getting a new piece every 3 months learn to transform the one on your head until you have mastered how to style that one to your liking and even thén it will still néed tweaking And you have enough hair pièces for thé next 5 years lol and youre not even in this a full year. At least you dont have gray hairs coming in like me. I am sharing my expérience not because its particularly unique or intéresting but to show you that you can work with any décent piece to get it to look natural and good..its a constant work in progress and in thé future you could use some of your 130% density pièces and transform them into a réflection of you. You can either make your 130% density thinned out with shears and/or learn how to style denser pièces to look thinner. Before I clicked on your video the image that shows up before you click play really shows thé hairline with thé lighting. And ofcourse you can wear a piece with an oily scalp. I am super oily but i had mine on for 4 weeks probably couldve gotten another week out of it until I did my service last Sunday and I use plain old lace tape with the light blue peel off strips shaped like a boomerang. And when thé 130% density lose hair naturally from wear and tear, they start to look even better than if you got it thinned out at a salon. As far as adhesive is concerned,different strokes for different folks. Thé most important thing is learning how to bend thé piece to your will whether that means making a thicker piece look thinner or a thinner piece look thicker and so forth. I like starting out longer and denser and get haircuts and dye jobs along thé way...treating like you would with normal hair..

Jake, (from what you know/have heard) how do hair systems hold up during hard exercise or combat sports? (Wrestling, BJJ, boxing, Etc.)
@xFailPrincessx
@xFailPrincessx 3 жыл бұрын
They won’t fall off after 1 round but if you plan on doing a sport like Jiu Jitsu regularly it will fall off during training eventually. I‘ve lost contact lenses in the past getting out of a headlock so there is no way a hair system could hold up. If you’re serious about both then you need to train without your hair system.

Hi mate I’m into BJJ/kickboxing etc as well and thinking of getting a hair system soon, I’m no expert but I think for striking sparring (boxing/kickboxing) it would be fine. But for BJJ I’m thinking of getting ear protectors like you see a lot of BJJ and wrestling guys wear. There are a lot that go over the top of your head and I think would provide a good safety net so you wouldn’t have to think about it too much
