Dear Hair Buddha! Watching your videos for quite a while now, I can't help but have to tell you that you are a bright torch in the width of the internet. I'm a hairdresser myself, and I've been doing hair for almost 40 years now. I'm working as a teacher for hairstyling, too, for more than 25 years. And there are so many self-proclaimed experts out there whose advices make my hair stand on end. Instead, all that you say is 1. absolutely correct 2. well-founded and 3. targeted. Your clients (and your viewers) can be glad for such a knowledge on hairdressing. Collegial greetings from Germany!

I bleached my hair a few months back. I wanted to try blonde for YEARS but really wanted to do my research. I did everything Hair Buddah suggested and am happy to say my hair did not fall out (I really focused on hair health for several months prior to bleaching), took incredibly small sections and slathered it with bleach. I did one 30min session with the anticipation that I'd do another session in several months. Honestly, I'm not sure what happened. Thankfully, there was zero banding or uneveness but even more so, I expected a bit of brassy reddish colour because I had virgin deep brown hair. But surprisingly, it lifted A LOT! I used 30 volume, not 40. I'd like it to be a little bit lighter but since it's not a gross brassy orange, I've been happy to let it sit for several months to let the overall health of my hair restore. Any recommendations for this next session are appreciated. I unfortunately can't use foils as it's just me doing it. In the meantime, I did some colour by combing lightly to add a bit of dimension then toned it.

So excited and amazed! I just managed to remove auburn box-dye and bleach my hair to a 9-10 by myself after learning how mostly from your videos! Did I do fine sections? I tried, but definitely not my finest moment. However, not one drop of coconut oil was used prior to bleaching. 🚫🥥🤣 I was even able to fix the orange with blue (not purple)! So a toast 🍷and kudos to you for being an excellent hair buddha. My tip: What I did was section the halo area into a pony tail and just bleach/rinse the underneath layers first. I was able to learn from my mistakes where it wouldn't show as much. Then I slept in the pony tail and was able to finish the top, doing a little better, the next day. *** I have a few questions if you can fit in an answer sometime: 🙏 What do you mean by "you have to add pigment before you tone?" How do you do that? Also, what does "pre-tone" mean? Guessing that's the same thing as adding pigment? What is the difference between platinum, silver, gray, ash? So confusing!

@MsGlamourcat Жыл бұрын
@@marcilk7534 it's true, I'm not impulsive. I did go from black to bleached blonde though, but I grew out enough regrowth and cropped all of my hair off in one go to the regrowth! I went from long black layered hair to cropped and bleached blonde and have maintained it since. It's way too much stress for the hair to go from black to blonde with stripping... just grow it out, crop it off... the journey through the lengths to get it long again was fun --- I grew-out the cropped hair, had it styled as it grew into a bob, then shoulder length, and down to half way down my back. I'm not a hairdresser, but I'd watch everything my hairdresser did and asked lots of questions, which was lucky as he quit doing hair and went onto other adventures such as property and investing.

You give great advice on hair but you need high heat to sear a steak. A lot of cooks will say that the ideal steak is barely warm in the center with a hard sear on the outside. You do not want to slowly cook it through as this will make it tough. You need to either sear it at high heat then lower the temperature to bring the middle up to the correct temperature or cook it to temperature and then sear the outside on high heat. I would let you do my hair but not cook my steak. Also, thank you for stating that warm blonde is attractive. I think a warm, natural looking blonde can be beautiful and I don't understand why everyone wants pure white or gray hair which does suit many people.

So because coconut oil interferes with bleach, can i coat my already bleached hair (or at least near the regrowth) with it during a root touch up to help prevent breakage incase of accidental overlapping? 🤔 Asking bc my hair is dark and im sure my roots will need a 2nd round of bleach to be lifted to platinum to match the rest. And on top of that, i dont want dry ass mids and ends when i have to meticulously shampoo out the bleach on my roots.
@phyllbtstrrbls Жыл бұрын
I still dont understand people. There are looooot of videos on KZbin to how the hell do bleach their own hair correctly. But no, they dont want to listen. Example: I saw a lot of videos from Buddha, lot of bleach fails. I accepted his recommendations. I have really fine, short pixie hair what is around level 5 brown and its my natural colour. I bought 2 bags (each 30 gramms) of BlondMe Premium Lightener 9+ and 2 bottle of BlondMe Premium Developer (each 7 volume). At first I did only one FINE SECTION to see the results. I did my length only. First time I put the bleach on, set a timer and rinse it out after 10 minutes. Second round I did only a bleach wash, let it sit for 10 minutes. The results are better what I expected. I got a natural light blonde colour. And the most important things: my hair doesnt fell out, and its not dried or fried! I will do some other parts in this way. Thank you Buddha for your recommendations! I hope that more and more people will take your advice! Cheers! 🙂
