I always wondered why my few hairdressers in the past 10 years would get so excited trimming my “virgin” hair. I didn’t even know what that meant. I’m rather proud having my natural color and curls. I used to dye my hair when I was a teen and I didn’t even know I had curly hair until my 20s because they (my curls) were so messed up from dye and straightening. I will never change my hair. I’m actually excited to see what it does when I start to turn grey.

I don't mind when facial hair & head hair don't match. I suppose it depends on the combination. My brother (who hasn't died his hair since 1999, when he bleached the ends) has very dark brown hair, but his beard is a deep ginger, and it looks pretty cool.

It seems to me that it would be wise to consider keeping natural healthy hair on your head and getting wigs if you want to have crazy hair. You can have the hair that you want and your actual hair growing on your head doesn’t have to be damaged. I have permed and bleached my hair so many times over the last 40 years and now all I want is healthy hair. Last year I started to bleach my hair with my hairdresser thinking I would go silver but it didn’t lighten much after one bleach and my hair was so fried. I decided not to continue. It’s not worth it!! If you’re going to do a wild major bleaching, you’d do well to go to a professional.

I have blue hair and let me tell you: it's a difficult colour to obtain and keep fresh. I went through a lot of blue pigments and colouring masks to find the right one. And the bleaching has to be perfect all the time.

Hi, I'm new to your videos and happy to have found you. I'm older than most viewer's I would think, you'll get a clue when I tell you my first try at blonde was at 15 with my mom's help. The reason for this: my older brother's GF had a lovely shade of California blonde and I'm sure was done professionally. We fell down the rabbit hole and believed the photo on the 'box dye' so my dark brown with red highlights hair turned, as you know, orange. It was bad. Fast forward 50 odd years and off and on I've been wheat blonde. Now I have light blonde hair all the time, my natural hair is silver with brown. Going dark is not an option at 67 because ladies, your skin tone changes as you age. That's why seniors who insist on dying their hair black, dark brown or God help us, red makes them look so awfully pale their hair thin, and the scalp bright. Not a good look. ;-) Sorry, too long first comment, anyway, I'm really enjoying your video and especially that accent!! TU for you! And gals, one word if you color: Olaplex!!

Those roots were Touched for sure lol. 20 volume will turn your roots! natural pigments lift more easily than the hair dye in this case

It took me 7 month to get my red to almost white via a professional hairdresser. She said at the end it was “ comprised “ . I wanted to to oober blond and during covid botched up my roots . I’m now back to red using colour hat masks that don’t damage. I’m 50 so greys are easier to cover. Beard hair is definitely weird. I wonder why it often turns ginger. I know a whole bunch of people (none of them ginger, they range from honey blonde to almost black haired) whose beard grows out ginger.

Yes 🙏🏽 this was very helpful, thank you, I understand why my hairdresser blanches when I ask about the possibility of having blue in my in between level 3-4 naturally dark brown hair that now has silver hair for her to contend with 🤣😰😉 getting my hair to it’s whitest would take 2-3 sessions and it would ideally, take several months to accomplish...the silver hair sometimes doesn’t like to take up any color and can be ridiculously hard to work with. If it’s gonna be stubborn, I just tell her not to worry about it, it’s going to be with me for the rest of my life, I may get used them just glinting beautifully in the light ✨🤗💇🏻‍♀️🥰✨

I went from a “Jessica Rabbit” fire engine red to green. However, I took my TIME. I let the red fade for about 6 weeks, did a very mild bleach bath, repigmented my hair with a medium/dark brown , waited a week for the color to settle and fade a bit and did hair treatments, then dyed it a beautiful Forrest green. Color was even and shiny. You can’t add green on yellow or on pink hair unless you add a base pigment. It just won’t work and your hair nightmare will continue! Listen to hair Buddha when he tells you about pigmentation I beg you! 🙏🤗😂 p.s. make sure that bleach is a thick but manageable consistency like pudding…thinning it out to make it go further, is a BIG Nono! Enjoy your patchiness if you do that 🤦‍♀️

What annoys me with these people is that some of us have illnesses and have to take chemo because we've got illnesses and these drugs cause hair loss..It annoys me that people who really look after their hair and up losing it through no fault of their own fighting an illness...yet other idiots bleach their hair 10times &it falls out..not much justice in that :(
