People don’t realize how thin the sections have to be. Plus, you need to cross check. If your sections are horizontal, once you applied the bleach, go back through in vertical sections to see what was missed.
After watching your videos, I ordered and used blonde me powder and developer to give myself highlights and I am extremely impressed by how much it lightened and how gentle it was on my hair. Thank you for the pro tips!
@amandawheeler93973 жыл бұрын
I feel like after the third bleach, she could’ve done a bleach bath to be more gentle on the hair. It wouldn’t bring her to platinum per se but it would not kill it like that fourth one did. Bleach baths are such a great choice for lifting hair.. I wish more people did them instead of slathering the bleach straight on the hair.

I use quick blue because it works. My roots grow in black. My hair goes platinum blonde with just 1 treatmemt. I condition regularly & use moisturizing products regularly. Im careful not to rebleach old hair, just work with the new growth. I don't have time or patience for multiple slower options.
@LadyVashj86woa2 жыл бұрын
Your reaction to the quick blue was gorgeous, I haven't laughed that hard in years! I love your compassion. The two ladies in the beginng look very beautiful with black hair, I personally see no need to bleach the hair, but I understand that some people sometimes like a change. ( I dye my hair black with henna and indigo myself, due to severe allergic reactions after using regular black hair dye for 20 years. Since I was "blessed" with light gray hair at age 12, I needed to dye it early on in life and got hooked on black hair, since it looks very nice with my snow white skin color and my brown eyes). I know, that some of those people from your videos, who bleach their hair too much / with too much developer / leave it on for too long, encounter severe hair loss, and I know how it feels, because I lost my hair like that due to an allergic reaction to "normal" hair dye at the hairdressers. It is difficult and therefore, in my humble opinion, you should always go to your trusted hair stylist / hair dresser/ hair artist, to get a coloring job done. I am not sure about the USA, but here in Germany, you have to undertake an apprenticeship for three years minimum, then take an exam, work as a proper hair stylist / hair dresser to gather experience, and if you want to open your own salon, you have to undertake another apprenticeship, like a masters degree at university ( you have to work all day and go to beauty school on the weekends and have to pay for it by yourself). If you pass the hair dresser bar ( which is very difficult), you are allowed to open your own salon and teach newbies, so they can undergo their apprenticeship. I really don't get it, why regular people, who are not trained or schooled in any way, think, that they can color their hair the way they want to. If it was that easy, there would be no need to learn that profession for at least 5 years, in order to be allowed to run a salon by yourself.

You are such a great example of someone posting content. You give the channels of the people who you review, and you discourage "dislikes". I totally agree, if you don't like it, then don't watch it. It's just that easy. NO need to negatively comment. If you have real suggestions, then sure, post. But, like always, If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything. Just don't watch, It's that easy. I sort of like Sally's. Every now and then I find the right product. Their dip nail colors are actually really good,. But for hair, all I have ever experienced, no matter what store I go to, is advice from folks that couldn't make it as hairdressers. Ya'll know that, right? Sally's is employed by folks that couldn't make it in salons, as far as I've experienced. Were they good in salons, they wouldn't be working at Sally's.

The world needs more people like you❤️. The internet is a mean place and I think it's so sweet and honorable that you always discourage the thumbs down button. You are right when you say if you like it give it a thumbs up but there's no reason to be mean and give it a thumbs down if you don't. Thumbs down should be for things that are just so offensive they should be pulled from the internet, not for bullying. I like how you don't enjoy watching people freak out like other hair channels that are just snarky. I come to your channel to learn and I have learned so much from you. I will never get hot roots again or eff my hair up beyond saving. I lost half of it from iron deficiency. Now that it's thickened back up and is now purple I should really change my profile pic. I'll get around to it😊. Thank you for being one of the good ones. Your wife and children are very lucky.

I love watching these. I’ve never seen a girl bleach then use a box dye only to bleach again😂 These bleach videos remind me of when I was a teenager and went from black to blonde and had to bleach my hair like 7 times (with no down time between bleaching) but the damage I had, meant I couldn’t leave it blonde. So I was hot pink for two years. I am 35 now and I only bleach bath/wash my hair now every 4 to 6 months until I get the desired blonde and then just bleach bath the roots as needed. I don’t remember the last time I did a regular bleaching but I have light brown fine hair so it doesn’t really take a lot to bleach it. Also I have no idea how I found this channel because I watch a lot of hair fails and I’ve never come across this channel before but I actually like it more than some of the other hairdressers I watch.

BTW, the "activating cream" (the Wella Color Charm Activating Lotion) IS a developer. It's a 6 volume developer... But I'm not surprised that she didn't know that, because I don't think it says it anywhere on the box, or even under the description on the product on Sally's website, but if you look it's very easy to find... Plus the fact that pretty much every hair coloring method (other than semi-permenant direct dyes) require a developer, or in this case an "activator" (same thing, different words).

@hairbuddha I truly appreciate the fact that you even try to teach people about hair care. Watching these videos remind me how some people can be self destructive. I’m not trying to come down on people or offend them, because it’s their hair. However people need to know their limits

The orangish warm colour is what I’m trying to get too! My natural colour is red and I made the mistake of dying it darker 😭

i 100% know how you feel watching these. As a professional Dog Groomer watching ppl who’ve never groomed try and give their dog a haircut makes me wanna jump thru the phone and help and point out all flaws and just do it for them lol

I used to be a dog groomer and I totally get it. The worst is when they come in with a photo of a poodle and want that cut on a Yorkie or something or when they already started a haircut and want you to fix it, but they don't understand the fixing doesn't add doggy extensions.
