This is definitely the best short haircut video if you ask me. It's easy and simple to understand. I just used a 15mm guard on my sides, back, the front and then the top. I did quite a decent job with it, it doesn't look great or good but I'm proud of how it turned out. Thanks man!

well I cut my hair and used my hand as a guide across the back of my neck. I asked my partner if it was a good straight line across the back? The answer - bursting into laughter....I will try again next time.

I looked for videos like this because the barbershops in my state are now closed until the coronavirus emergency is over. I'm not sure if I can do as well as the guy who made this video, but I cut my hair that short, and it's worth a try. That haircutting kit he recommends, though, is now backordered on Amazon until over a month from the time I'm writing this. Other people must have had the same idea.

Thanks again. Decent home haircutting kits seem to be backordered during this pandemic, but mine finally arrived a few days ago. Just tried it for the first time, and it worked pretty well. The method for cleaning up the back of the neck is excellent. Will probably get better with practice. But I hope the girls at Cost Cutter's get their jobs back soon, whether I go back there or not.

To cut straight across the back I tie a string around my head, just under my nose on my upper lip around the back of my neck. Put it where you want it and shave everything below the string. Then round the edges in the mirror if you need.

Yes, excellent video, not a ton of talking at first to make screen time, then nothing applicable. Finally just a video going straight to showing how to do it. I struggle with the neck line as well, so I simply have a buddy take care of that for me. He was hesitant at first thinking he would cut me, but I had him first practice with a small guard. He still doesn't like to do it, but I take him out to eat once a month in thanks. I still save lots of $$$ and time in the long run.

Number 4 guard 1/2 inches = 13mm (Everywhere) Number 3 guard 3/8 inches = 10mm (Sides) Number 2 guard 1/4 inches = 6mm (Bottom/neck)

The hairline on the back wasn't straight in the video - I understand its not easy. But it does not take away from a near perfect illustration!

What I found is, number 0, 1 or 2 is doable but anything longer takes forever and doesn't end particularly well. Baring no cash or health worries, go to your barber for anything other than a skinhead.

My hair is 6 inches below the shoulder and longer in the back. I love my long hair but it randomly gets up to 95 degrees F and its not even July yet. :( It got down to 3 degrees in my part of Texas and we are probably going to set a heat record the same year. ☹
