Love your channel and all the information. I am a Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of healthcare experience. Stress is real. I have hypothyroidism which also affects the hair in addition to so many other aspects of your body. When I was caring for both of my sweet now late parents as an adult only child my hair fell out in patches. After my Mom was discharged from the hospital after 2 months (1 of those in ICU on a ventilator), once I got her home...she said "baby what happened to the back of your head." My hair had fallen out from about mid-ear to the back of my nape on one side of my head. It's a lifelong journey for me in taking care of my hair. My hair is on the road to recovery but it will be a life long part of my overall healthcare journey in terms of care.

Was diagnosed with AA at the end of June 2023. I found your channel shortly after and listened to your first video on your hair-loss story. It made me feel hopeful. I also had hair that flourished and now I don’t know this hair at all. So your videos bring me some hope that with much work I can regain healthy hair. Plus, can I bring up the fact that you are a woman of color. I haven’t found many people with AA on social media that I can relate to as much as you. So thanks girl. I very much relate to you about being that girl with the thick and long hair and how that becomes a part of your identity. My self-esteem really took a hit when my hair started to fall out. And girl, you really preaching - health disparities are real. I have been to 2 doctors and both seem like they didn't even take the time of day to really look at my scalp. I asked to be referred to a dermatologist and they just told me to take some Biotin and kept it pushing. At the same time, I feel like I could have been more prepared both times, with pictures of my hair before and actually being consistent with healthy eating (getting all my micro- & macronutrients) and vitamins, etc. so when I go I can tell this is what I have already been doing. This has been going on for like 2 years now, so I'm going to try again. I switched health insurance & providers, so this time around I will work on improving my overall health first, bring in some pictures from before when my hair was very healthy as well as have a list of other concerns that tie into hair loss that I have been noticing, so they know I know what I'm talking about. I appreciate you sharing your story and I have subscribed! :) Can't wait for the hair scripts products too! By the way, just fyi I signed up to get the hair guide, but never received it. It just added me to the waitlist but I haven't received the guide yet.

I'm actually putting together a meal plan now to start addressing my overall health, improve my gut health, etc. You have really good videos and more people need to see them. Hi there! I almost cried finding your channel. In fact, I have never subscribed to anyone’s channel before! New to all of social media. Yesterday, I was diagnosed by my dermatologist as having androgenetic alopecia and although I lost most of my hair within the last year, I was in denial until I went to the doctor for it and she pit a name to it. It was devastating- at least I waited to cry in the car after the appointment. My hair has always been a source of my identity and at 54 years old, to have lost most of it has been devastating and has killed my confidence. I, like you have been a single parent my daughter’s entire life and have been in survival mode since I had her almost 22 years ago. I couldn’t run from it anymore and make excuses for it. I am promptly started regimens now in hopes of keeping what I have left and maybe get my hair stronger and healthier and some fullness back to the top. I have worked hard raising my daughter and it’s time to focus on getting myself back! Wanted to sign up for your serum but not sure where to go to do that. All this is new to me. I’m so glad you have your health and hair loss under control. I stumbled across your channel, trying to find something for my hair loss. So, glad I did!! I can relate to being “that girl” being known for your hair. My hemoglobin levels went all the way down to a 6 and my hair reflected it…Uggghhhh. It had gotten down passed bra length and full. Hi i was a braid wearer for years and now my hair is coming out at edges and regular hair isnt growing. I am taking medications and believe thats a strong contribution to hair loss. I got a perm last year and decided to go bck natural. As a child growing up all the way through high school and college ALWAYS had thick, beautiful hair and now im almost 50 and im starting over, cutting all of perm out. I now have a short fro and am wearing wigs until i reach shoulder length. Can u help me get to a better place or any extra ideas, would appreciate it

Great video beautiful hair I have watched a few of your videos in the past!!!!!!! I have Alopecia in my nape area, I’m African American female 43 yrs old, i believe I was born wit it I can remember being 8 years old and never having hair in the back of my head patchy and bald , I’m natural no chemicals In my hair, my dermatologist want to do a biopsy but I’ve been hesitant, I was given a hair steroid liquid from my derm years ago, I haven’t needed to use it for 2 years because I take silica plus vitamins and other vitamins for over 2 years now it has helped with the burning and itching in my nape area n less hair fall in the nape area , but still very patchy peach fuss hair once in a while every couple of years the hair grows a lot back there but then falls out again😮, but recently the silica has helped a little I don’t wear any tight styles or tight braids I only put olive oil or castor oil on my scalp because lots of oils like rosemary oil etc irritates my scalp in the nape area!
