Hairy Woodpecker

This young Hairy Woodpecker appeared on our front deck this morning. We heard him from inside the house and realized that he was very close, so we went outside to have a look.
It appears he may have fallen from the nest. Aside from being confused and scared, he does not appear to be injured. After I got the video, he hopped right over to my feet and looked up at me. He then went around the base our chimney and down into a Chipmunk burrow. I did not hear any noises so I imagine that the burrow was not occupied. Later in the day , I saw him outside the burrow, but he quickly disappeared back into it when he saw me. Far as I know, he is still there and at least is safe from predators.
