My daughter took my food offerings for Eleggua multiple times after I warned her, begged her, taught her, asked her, and bribed her not to touch them. Within a year she was snatched from the same crossroads that we would leave the offerings at, and about an hour or two later her three little siblings were snatched from the same spot while we were trying to find her. I do my best to leave offerings whenever I have them so he will help them find their way back home. I called the police to report her missing as soon as it happened and they made everything worse. Never, ever start working with the spirits unless you are 300% sure you are able to give, follow through and protect your offerings to them.

I was an atheist until about 18-19 years. When I was about 18 I looked to Buddhism for guidance, I stopped because one of the teachings I just wasn't ready for. On my personal practice I try to be the more sceptic possible, first try to discard any physical, psychological and medical cause and then proceed to the metaphysical ones, anyway, they all are always linked to each other so is irresponsible to focus on just one of them because then you get a pretty incomplete view of the situation you're trying to intervene and this leads to poor results. In the end it's not a matter of precisely knowing what's going on or to be right, it's to help people with the suffering and improve their life quality, unless you are doing investigation and even then to be right must be subjected to the people well-being, this should be ALWAYS the priority

In my private practice we don't do "deals" per se but you can make sacrifices instead, for example: "I will donate x $ to x charity" but normally is more appreciated to do a physical sacrifice. Now it doesn't mean to hit yourself or something similar, like the penitents do, but to bring a service to your community like bring food to homeless or buy clothes and stuff to them, to fix and maintain a public park and so on. That's because if you match sacrifices with suffering that's only wasted energy, they even get mad if a sacrifice animal is not consumed by the community, like a chicken you have to make a soup or a goat you have to do a barbecue and share with your family, friends, neighbors or people in need.

Also I found scamming and parasite spirits that try to force you to do a deal but don't make clear statements, in my personal case I have the rule that the deals have to be on equilibrium and is totally forbidden to force any of the parties to do something that they think is wrong, don't have the means to do or simply don't want to. We will be treated as equal and I will not enslave them neither allow them to enslave me or the people who come for consultation, unfortunately I've seen a lot of traditions that don't use this rule and the price the people asking for the job end up paying, in this life or the next is too high, people ask for welfare here but end up being slaves here and/or beyond...

The first time I poured a glass of water, a shot of Barbancourt, and cup of coffee out for offerings and saw that it the glass was empty i was shook and excited. It is insanely fascinating tbh. They don’t really care to touch the water in coffee for me even though they specifically asked for coffee it doesn’t really go down as much but the liquor they suck right up for me. That’s how I know it’s my dad’s spirits 🤣.

Interesting. I’ve never placed anything on a community alter before. Something about community alters bothers the hell out of me and I can’t put my finger on it. But at the same time I also don’t like community prayer. I remember going to church and I used to be very upset when they’d call on me to do the prayer. I’ve literally never said a prayer out loud. It’s always in my head and and my heart LMAO I just feel like the openness of speaking your prayers out loud and having things so open just leaves it open for Demons. I think it’s just a very big unpopular opinion though. Because community prayers have helped so many things. 😭😭😭

The coffee is drank but only about a quarter of the way but the dark LQ is always gone within 1-3 days max, if its light they rarely touch it, sometimes sooner and I do not have house guests or roommates and my cat doesn’t touch my stuff ever she won’t even eat any of my food or a snack or anything that isn’t her food or made for cats. No one comes here.

I don't practice voodoo but in my spiritual practice, I only give offerings when I'm being called to. I wouldn't give them something only to turn around and ask for help in the same breath. If someone did that to you, you'd take offense, right? If I offer something, it is simply because I want to give it to them freely. In my experience, as long as there's a good bond there, my spirits and gods have always pulled through when asked. But 1) always know who you're dealing with. 2) do not ignore their requests. If they tell you to do or say something, do it. 3) if you truly know who you're dealing with, dont question them. Some spirits and gods are very particular with how they like their offerings done and others aren't. You never want to anger a spirit or god over an offering because you didn't fully do it in a way that is acceptable to them. That is seen as disrespectful.

It depends on where the offering is made, if it's on your personal altar/sanctuary it will probably stay there until you are allowed to take it back or commanded to spend it in something specific, in a community one it is normally used on the maintenance of the altar/sanctuary itself or in the works made in the name of the one consecrated to. If it is commanded to be left in a specific random place maybe it's destined/designated to one of the spirit/lwa/whatever protégés who will find it and use it in whatever way he/she is allowed to

That’s another form. But you can ask for money and wealth and give them money to do so. The greater the offering the greater the results. Again, it depends on the spirit and intent you also have travel to them to do it. You dont do those offerings in your house.
