I had a Scott's drill sergeant when I first joined the army, I remember him telling us ,there's nothing like the pipes and drums of the Black Watch to stir the blood, so when you hear them on the street, there's a formidable army behind them

Wonderful, great tradition. I read the comments. Many are enthusiastic, unfortunately at least one of them was written by a Putler troll. Some complain, I thought that was a typical German tradition (complaining). I also found the truck at 3:10 interesting with the inscription "Championing Great British Tradition" and the logo of ALDI and Audi next to it. That amused me a little. Best wishes from Wiesbaden, Hesse, Germany.

April 18, 1775 Paul Revere took the streets of Boston on horseback warning the British are coming. Duh! Read coats you can she them a mile away. The ceremonial uniform in Buckingham Palace is impressive. But this camouflage. Actually I love the juxtaposition of British traditional and modern army. No one is out of shape like some guards in London. You have pipes and drums which I adore and a lean mean fighting machine.
@jameswills63204 ай бұрын
I doubt he said any such thing, at that stage the colonists considered themselves to be British. More likely to have said, "the soldiers are coming" Hollywood is crap at history.
