Plus you needed his genetics to not be inbred greedy pos, and he'll leave you only to follow. The best doesn't have to help or forgive you. My grandfather was in the Canadian Expositionary Force and fought at Vimy Ridge. He took out a sniper but later was wounded. All the men in his unit were killed in action except for him and one other soldier. He was sent back to London to recuperate from a hip injury that remained with him the rest of his life. He met King George while there. He told me the first two lines of barbed wire were difficult but the by the time you got to the third line of barbed wire that was where the machine guns were and they suffered terrific losses. Our ancestors were highland Scots from Colonsay, Scotland. His father still spoke Gaelic. My father also fought at D Day. Scotland the Brave!

My great, great uncle was a Captain Welsh of the Scottish border regiment in the first World War he led his men over the top and was killed. Never found his body. His batman saw him fall, but in the melee he was lost. Alright. I really appreciated the skill of the pipers & how tight the snare drums were, and I marveled at how consistent the bass drummer was, as well as his insistence on tempo when he felt things lagging. But having been a Marine musician in an Air Wing band, MEF band & base band, I know that our tradition is no one, and I mean absolutely no one breaks our ranks, so when I saw folks filming and going through he band I got so stressed I had to stop. How a drummer didn't take one out I haven't a clue - I was trying to and I haven't played in a parade in almost 40 years. Well done! Made a fellow musician, now disabled and barely able to walk, sit proud.

Arizona watching. Nothing anywhere in the world can compare to the smartness of Scottish military marching pipes. Kudos to Jim Ramsay (I assume) for moving along with the video for 20 minutes. Outstanding!

It appears that only the band from the 3 Scots was parading, it would have been nice to have seen the troops, all the troops. Oh well.

It's wonderful to see a nation still honor It's pecular collective traditional identity. Observing from the hyper-individualized ultra-divided and concurred American "experimental" (flustercluck) it's joyful to see someone still celebrating in their "national" capacity.

Very stirring. The Black Watch tartin was my school uniform and has a interesting history. Love the pony. Marching, playing an instrument and avoided idiots with videos. Pretty impressive. Hi from Australia 🐨

Your ancestry? have you seen what Sturgeons done to that in the past couple of years? She's a liberal fanatic opening the doors to the whole wide world. She's also just introduced the subject of 'white privelege' into the Scottish curriculum where 5 year olds will be brainwashed into believing their ancestors were butchers and maniacs. Pay attention to her actions, not the words she uses during the election campaign. Those words are just to keep her in power and she's no intention of fulfilling them.

@@darlenewilson136 The Black Watch is a voluntary force. Do you think that Scots who join the British Army are for "claiming their freedoms back"?

@@andrewmccloud8581 I am sorry Mr McCloud, I got that all wrong. Someone one else made a comment which made me dig to what side I was really on. 🙃I spoke before I kind of knew the truth after making that comment. I never meant to offend our roots that go back to Scotland with my family. Our family is from the James Wallace ancestry. A lot of people will soon find out the truth. Whoa, learning & digging after I realized my error really got my eyes opened. May the a lord always shine upon you, your family & Scotland!💜
