You picked something that's really one of the easier things to do in that set. Fireball placed, the obvious move from Gamerbee was the move he did and Daigo was already waiting for it, as most people would be.
@GerardoVillarreal1101
@GerardoVillarreal1101 Жыл бұрын
@@marcusgege2094 didn't mean to say it was the most skilled or highest IQ sequence in the game. Is the fact that at that point there was no way out, kinda how the set was going in the terms that Daigo was dictating the match most of the time. That spot feels like just "c'mon what am I supposed to do now?" Obviously the sequence of Ume DPs is like '"I'm deep in your head moment".

Those DPs are not proximity OS. Daigo doesn't like using option-selects that much. He's an emotional guy that likes playing with his guts and making statements with his reads. He's just amazing at footsies, downloading and conditioning. Like Alex Valle says: Footsies are about having courage. And you can't get more courageous than double/triple dashing forward when you have a pixel of health left, doing 3 yolo DPs in a row, or throwing a guess fireball pointblank to catch Akuma's backward tele just to make a point and get in your opponent's head. Daigo is the incarnation of courage. No wonder he has such a dominant ground game. :)

@EvilLuisito
@EvilLuisito 10 жыл бұрын
AlphaQSilly Do you even know what a proximity option-select is? Because I do: it's whiffing a normal and buffering a special then holding down/back. So that if your opponent attacks while your normal is recovering, the proximity box will trigger causing you to cancel the recovery a few frames quicker than usual and going into block state. This causes your buffered move to come out instantly but not come out on whiff. That is how proximity OS works. Here, Daigo didn't throw any normals so he had no active or recovery frames to buffer into. He was clearly just walking forward then did a DP. Gamerbee happened to be pressing a button (probably tried to tech) and got blown up. It was a gutsy high risk low reward read. Nothing more, nothing less.

Concerning Ryu: xWax Solid is flashy. Sekiganryu Is Solid. Daigo is just meta, meta and nothing but metagame!! Metagaming is a broad term usually used to define any strategy, action or method used in a game which transcends a prescribed ruleset, uses external factors to affect the game, or goes beyond the supposed limits or environment set by the game. He is all of the Above plus more:)

man the better you understand the game, the more small things you see them doing. Daigo stands at a range so that adons stand hard kick only the second hit reaches him so he can focus back dash that without getting hit by the second hit of it. Tons of small details and ranges daigo is always conscious of. I think ryu actually loses to adon maybe 5-5

Fudgaboutit He wins by using the lowest tier char w/ simple moves and by reading the opponent. It's not robotic, you nitwit. It can't be robotic 'cause he's playing a human player who is unpredictable. He reads, blocks, gets in their head and out plays them and punishes them combos consisting of simple archaic moves. I don't care to compare him to anyone else 'cause his level of play is inspirational. You, amigo, don't have to try to stand out by hating daigo, there are other ways of doing it. But, when you try and dispel hate (w/o substance) you just sound idiotic...you "cock sucker." :D

***** I don't disagree. People think he uses Ryu and spams fireballs because they know nothing about the game. Ryu is not even the best shoto in the game but people are weird you know.
