Glad it helped you. The game feels overwhelming at first, if you play on the Supernova difficulty, but once you play a little, you'll see the gameplay doesn't have much depth to it.

I finally grabbed this game and went straight to super nova. I was managing on my 1st toon but this advice is so helpful that I restarted with the plan to work my way to phase 3 and copy your companion build

As I've said in my community post from a few days ago, I could have made this video better, but I would've had to delete all the work I already put into it and start fresh. Doing that is a slippery slope, as I can be caught in the trap of trying to make the video better, and trying again, and again, and I'd eventually reach a point where the game has lost all relevancy and the project would get abandoned. Best thing I can do is see what mistakes I made in this one, and try to avoid them next time. One such mistake is repeating myself a lot of times. I even become self-aware about it at some point in the video.

Best starter perk in Supernova is Lone-wolf. The damage bonus is great and at low levels companions are terrible only giving you some skill bonusese that aren't that useful at Emerald Vale since the cap of usable skills is really low anyway. After Level 10 respec and not choose it if you don't want to use it but at the start get it as soon as possible along with 40 lockpick as soon as.

Objectively speaking, the best perk for supernova is Toughness. But Lone Wolf is easily the second best as long as you leave companions on the ship. If you plan on not taking Parvati with you when she offers to be your guide, I would definitely recommend you pick that perk. My next 2 builds incorporate Lone Wolf permanently.

Really good, well thought out advice for the most part! I do think maybe you slightly overvalue TTD and especially the vulnerability flaws. I find food & nicotine addiction very exploitable flaws especially on supernova where you want to be eating anyway. Consumables can also be really good if you want to mess with them so a bit sad they didn’t get any time here. When it comes to core skills I feel like if you use companions at all on supernova you might as well take determination to 60, and I feel like 40 stealth just offers so much utility between all three skills that you’re losing a lot of flexibility if you spec away from it. Exploiting engineering is a stroke of genius though, great idea! A sort of similar exploit if you have the willpower is to hoard as many resources as possible in the early/midgame, try to pump dialogue skills for merchant rating and grab the sale price 20% perk, then sell EVERYTHING you’ve been hoarding.

I play supernova ! Take the flaws that make the game even harder. Honest its fun. My next character is gonna be a weak nerd that cant carry shitt and has to have companions do the work for me, wont be putting points into any damage intel like level 10. If you dont have much health and weakness to plasma some of those guys can just 2 or 3 shot your ass ya got to look for cover lol. Great game I love it. Im a fan of permeant concussion. Because you dont need to sleep it off again and it doesnt slow your weapon attack speed from shooting.

you forgot one not to unimportant garanteed weapon in the em vale, Glorias Sniper, though this one can only be optained by killing the pig. Ohhh and on the topic of cops, the other one in Edgewater has a special shotgun, though you do not need to kill her to get it, apoping it is just fine Second, you do not need to piss off one of the factions, well at least not permanently. Pick the greenhouse cell, but promise the crazy plant lady to get the forman leave his place, and she will be made the mayor of the edgewater, and all are happy

How to do a prismatic hammer build on supernova WITH COMPANIONS: Ignore Strength (Unless you want very high for the carry weight and just avg for TTD) Ignore Dex Ignore Intel Perception if you want 🤷‍♂️ Very High Charm Very High Temp but you could argue the duplication adreno spam makes temp useless so honestly. Y O L O B U I L D PH power Atk is not affected by dex strength and does not crit any questions?

I always preferred a science/strength build for the hammer, but I suppose yours is good for tanking while your companions deal damage. Unfortunately, my next companion build focuses on rifles.. I called her ''The Corporate''. But if I were to name your build, I'd pick ''The Hammersmith Manager''. You can replace ''manager'' with a corporate title that fits better, that's all I could think of for now.

@@Halcylion I mean my comment above was shitpost lmao but the prismatic hammer on console is so busted and it pretty much makes other weapons obsolete so it's a meme to me that the prismatic hammer is actually not affected by intel because it doesnt crit, dex has no effect on Power ATK speed and strength has no effect on dmg so theres so much room for building besides 100 science lmao
