This is a new bar for pedal makers, in terms of instructions. Then you have the build quality and amazing sound. This is why I'll be exchanging many of my pedals for Origin Effects. Replaced my compressor with a Cali76 already. Next week be a Halcyon Green or Gold.

I was in the same boat. Remove KZbin from your phone for a bit and it will help remove the urge of constant pedal and gear purchases. It gives you more time to actually play and hone your skills instead of focusing on what new gear might make you sound better. Hint, increasing your practice time has a greater improvement to your overall tone than the gear! At least if you have a solid foundation of gear already.

@@nohandle_nochannelthe issue is Utube but I’ve been playing for yrs. It definitely doesn’t interfere with playing. I play everyday for hrs. I think I can get it under control. I’ve seen way worse than me. But I’ll just take out a pedal and act as if it’s new. Thx for everyone’s suggestions.

@@ande047that’s not as fun for me. But thanks for the suggestion. I’m actually selling off a bunch of stuff. Have it on consignment in New York and selling pedals on reverb. It’s slow on there now and people aren’t willing to ay the prices anymore. I always put the lowest too plus, my stuff is mint since it goes through rotation.

from the demo, the pedal sounds brighter with the II position on adaptive even when the volume is rolled all the way up. Kinda sounds like a treble cut switch more than adaptive. Would be nice to hear back to back full volume of switch off vs switch on.

Adapt II is a hair brighter than the non-adaptive mode. Even when playing fully cranked. High end roll off is still occuring but a little more is let through.

Is this the same adaptive circuitry as in the other OE pedals like Magma or RD so one can use this video manual also for these other OE pedals?

The RevivalDRIVE pedals (Including Magma57, DELUXE61) don't feature any adaptive circuitry. Parts of this video manual can help explain how adaptive circuitry reacts in general. Each adaptive product has variations in exact application.

I'm curious how the Adaptive Circuitry responds to: 1) active pickups, 2) active volume pedals between the Halcyon and guitar, and 3) other pedals between the Halcyon and guitar, assuming the other pedal enables some kind of volume dynamic (either from the guitar volume pot or some feature of the pedal such as the envelope on the EHX Attack-Decay)

The Adaptive Circuitry isn't dependent on any sort of impedance. So it can be placed anywhere in your chain. All it requires to work is dynamics. The more the pedal is overdriving, the more of it's voice it'll have. The less that the pedal is overdriving, the more bass and treble will be reintroduced. Active pickups should work fine. Providing you're going from overdrive to clean. Active volume pedals will work fine as isn't impedence-dependent. It just requires level changes that alter the amount of overdrive happening within the pedal. The Attack-Decay should work exactly as if you were doing it with a volume pedal or guitar volume knob.

So the "Dry" signal don't give me the full dry signal of the clean amp but somewhat in between? I don't understand it. At 5:46 shouldn't we here just the clean amp?

The DRY control is a dry level control which adjust the amount of DRY signal next to the overdrive, not a blend/mix control.

@@fritzhieke7209 Some blend controls are a sliding scale from all the way dry, to all the way to the overdrive signal. Which is what you're describing. Where you're panning between two outputs, the dry and overdriven circuit. Some adjust the level of the dry signal next to the overdrive signal. Which is what ours does. The overdrive circuit is always reaching the output of the pedal, the DRY control adds dry signal to the output. You can't take the overdrive circuit out of the output unless you turn the pedal off.
