I've tried both brands that you demonstrated plus a few others of the silicone or plastic variety. They were somewhat helpful but I have chronic nasal congestion. For about a year I've been using Silent Mammoth. It's made with thin, silicone coated, stainless steel wire. Seems to work better because the wire loops push out farther up my nose than the others I've tried. I just did a web search and saw a brand I have not seen before called Nasilator. It looks worth a try, so I just ordered a 4 size trial pack.

How did you go with Nasilator? Do you find Silent Mammoth comfortable?

@@boombox4321 Nasilator did not work any better for me than many of the others I've tried. So I've stayed with Silent Mammoth. One thing I like about SM is since it is wire, I can re-shape it to better fit my nasal cavities. It's not perfect but works somewhat better than alternatives I've tried. And yes, sometimes SM is uncomfortable, but I get accustomed to it after a while.

Listen to this! and i think many are in the same boat and dont even know! I have OSA or so i thought and my sleep clinic thought well i do but it ended up being something i never even thought of so i always had breathing issues with my nose from turbinate swelling on one side and never thought much of it i had been using a cpap for a month hated it switched to oral appliance which helped also but not as much as cpap but still worked and i have severe btw my doc said you know what why dont you go see a ent so i went no visual obstruction other then the turbinates and a very slight deviated septum that she said isnt worth doing surgery for as it didnt really block my nasal path but the turbinates did she then asked did i ever get a allergy test NOPE now fast forward turns out im highly allergic to dogs roaches and dust esp dust like very bad and one of my 24/7 symptom was my turbinate swelling she told me many people have that and dont even know she said one big contributor to osa is nose issues/blockages esp swollen turbinates i had started on zertec and nasal spray with a allergist which worked but long term use isnt good she started me on allergy shots and let me tell you ill just say this folks...GET AN ALLERGY TEST!!! DO BOTH PANELS ENVIRONMENTAL AND FOOD!!!!!!!

I remember trying some silicone nasal cones some years ago. They kept my nostrils from collapsing, but they took up so much space inside my nostrils, and they didn't create any extra space to compensate (ie. by pushing outward with some kind of spring mechanism), so in the end they didn't make much of a difference. These look way more effective.

They're pretty good mate. Worth the $30 if you're in need of some help breathing through the nose. Cheers

Mute device hurt my nose. Hale looks softer on the nose. Intake Breathing uses magnets on side of nostrils similar to Breathe Right strips. Cost-wise? I’d go with Breathe Right. I’ve given up on Eclipse Bleep system coming out for public use and requested a refund. Good luck everyone.

😊 Has anyone gotten sore rib muscles when you first use the CPAP machine? If you did, how do you continue to get used to the CPAP machine and what did you do about the painful rib muscles? 😊 Thanks . 🙏
@mandysmith7900

Hey Holly, I had horrendous pain in my ribs whilst my lungs were learning to work properly and expand. It does get easier, I promise! There's really nothing you can do though. It took me about 3 months to get used to the CPAP machine with a full face mask, then it was great until I nasal surgery and had to swap to nasal pillows! Now, I'm swapping between the 2 to make sure I get the air I need.
@CPAPReviews
@CPAPReviews Жыл бұрын
@hollylorn131 yes it's very common. It's from the lactic acid build up in the intercostal muscles. Kind of like gym burn from a workout. They are working harder to exhale against the incoming airflow. Also like a gym sesh, your body will adapt and you'll soon be smashing goals. Cheers

Are these single-use products? Or do you clean them somehow and then reuse? I'm not sure I'd be able to get used to having something in my nose like that, but if it helps with breathing I might give it a try
@CPAPReviews

No they are reusable. Would be very expensive if you had to dispose every night. Cheers

Could you explain if you use it during the day and how many hours you use it? Can you use this with the nasal CPAP mask on? Thanks.
@CPAPReviews
@CPAPReviews Жыл бұрын
I guess you could use it during the day but most people would use it during sleep. It can be worn with a nasal mask but i found in uncomfortable and after 2 hours removed it as it was hurting. By itself it's good

Question, could this be used at the same time as with the nasal pillow mask? This might stop the nasal pillow mask going too much inside and swelling the inside of my nose while at the same time increase your air intake? Seems like a wonderful idea.
@CPAPReviews
@CPAPReviews Жыл бұрын
Hello my friend, i have tried it and the answer is no. It's also hard to wear even with a standard nasal mask as the nostrils push out and the mask compresses them. It's uncomfortable. Cheers

My Husband purchase the Hale, we both use it for snoring. It works to stop the snoring. However, I end up pulling mine out around 3 am. It hurts my nose, it is uncomfortable (I sleep on my stomach so that presses my nose into my pillow). But, now that I have really watched the "how to" video, I realized I'm not getting it placed correctly in my nose. So I will try again tonight!

@@CPAPReviews Thank you!! Just one more question, can I ever come out of a CPAP 🥲 it’s been 3 years and my sleep is not the same. I am 37 age, weight on the higher side 120kg, using Airsense10 with average AHI of 1-2. I am trying to change my lifestyle but I am curious to know this whether the CPAP will stay with Me forever or do we have a chance? Thanks. I am a proud member of your SLEEPHQ
