You can see why Dany idolizes Lzzy, and Lzzy clearly adores Dany. When Lzzy makes comments like "watching them on stage makes me want to step up my game", she is sincere. Perfect touring partners. Throw in Evanescence, and you have three world class female front women on this tour.

If it wasn't for Lzzy Hale, I would never have come across The Warning. Lzzy discovered The Warning during the pandemic, when they both were on some KZbin show performing from their individual homes and Lzzy continued watching the show, when The Warning performed Dull Knives. (You can still catch that performance on YT). Well she was blown away and met them through Zoom and invited them on tour with Haletorm & The Pretty Reckless (along with Lilith Zar). Well I actually flew to Charlotte, NC (from Chicago) to see Halesorm & The Pretty Reckless, (being fans of both) since that tour didn't come through Chicago. Well The Warning came on after Lilith and completely blew us away. They are currently my favorite band these days.

Dany looked like she was floating on cloud 9, this must have been an awesome moment for her. And to have Lzzy Hale, one of her idols, singing to her. 🤘🤘. Fun to see Dany and Joe shredding back and forth. Btw, 'that drummer' is Lzzy's brother AreJay. So, Lzzy and AreJay formed the band in 1997, she was 13, he was 10. 2024 marks 20 years with the same lineup. Lead guitarist (he likes Gibson SG's) Joe Hottinger joined in 2003, bassist Josh Smith in 2004. Dad, Roger Hale, played bass in the early days. 5 albums, #6 is being worked on. Never seen TW myself, but I have seen Lzzy and the boys a couple times, they are even better in person than the live videos show. Yeah, Lzzy is like this, lol, she is a bada$$. Yes Jeremy, Please revisit Halestorm. "Back From The Dead", "I Am the Fire" and "I Miss the Misery" are good places to start.

Lzzy and Dany are kindred spirits, they love and respect each other. Since Lzzy heard TW do "Dull Knives" as part of the DE Tour and invited them to open for Halestorm, then Lzzy gifted the Explorer to Dany on stage, you can see and feel the love. Lzzy is like the older sister Dany looks up to. And Dany is a young spark that reminds Lzzy of her early days. It's great to see this kind of stuff in music today. You should check out more of Halestorm for sure. Dany has often said how much she looks up to Lzzy, and I've seen interview(s) where Lzzy has said that Dany has inspired Lzzy and reinvigorated her. And Lzzy said that after watching The Warning perform - she told her band that they need to practice more!! It would be cool if there was a "The Warning effect" where bands feel the need to practice and up their game in terms of stage presence just to keep up with the girls!

I’ve watched this video many times. Lzzy is an icon at 41 years old. What an amazing voice she still has! Halestorm plays totally live with no click tracks or backing tracks. What you hear is live, warts and all. The jam session with Dany is somewhat improvised from show to show. It’s normally Lzzy and Joel. If you haven’t seen Halestorm live you are doing yourself a disservice!

That was a truly powerful and, fir me, emotional performance. I love Lizzie's passion, but when you throw Dany into the mix, my tears start coming to the surface. I mean no disresoect towards Lizzie, but while sge really belts out the passion and does a great job with the quiet and sensitive parts, I feel Dany is the better singer. TWA in Da House .Dany was really nervous doing this, first time she actually played her guitar with another band,she has sang with bands before but this was a first .Dany also mentioned how she didn't realize Lzzy was looking at her so much during the song and trying to get her interact with her but since they didn't have time to really practice this Dany was in the zone trying to concentrate on playing the song .I think it came out great . More funfacts Ive seen TW and Halestorm in concert on the same ticket in 2022 and this is one of my favorite Halestorm tracks so this was insane to see them do this with Dany !!

There's a lot to unpack here LOL! Dany did a Crowdcast livestream a couple days ago and talked about this. She and Joe talked about it and how they would do it and she figured she'd just go out and do the solo with him, trading off like they did, then leave the stage. So she had an hour to learn the song before The Warning went on, went out and Lzzy started interacting with her before the solo, which caught her off guard because she was just focusing on not screwing up so she didn't really interact with Lzzy, (and I feel like you might be right, that Lzzy might have been wanting her to sing as well but Dany missed it) then she did her thing with Joe, then Lzzy came out and started interacting with her again. Dany said she went to Lzzy after the concert and apologized for not really interacting with Lzzy on stage because she was focusing on her playing and not making the song sound bad LOL. The drummer is Arjay Hale - Lzzy's brother. The last time they toured together, he played drums for Pau during one show so she could take the stage and sing Narcisista. Do you guys want some Halestorm suggestions? I have a handful for you. OH! And a cute side note - one of the faces you saw Dany making is one of two of her concentration faces. One is where she sticks her tongue out while she's thinking, like most people do, and the other she said is her 'mueca' - she couldn't think of the english word for it, but it's basically a frowny-looking grimace for when she's REALLY focusing and concentrating on what she's playing, trying not to screw up. She demonstrated both faces for us a handful of times LOL!

No. It’s a black rose. Lzzy gives it to a fan that impresses her after that song. I saw Halestorm in Nashville when I Prevail opened for them in August. They had a guest guitarist for Familiar Taste of Poison for that show also. It was common on Halestorm’s headlining tour.

Look Halestorm albums are great, but live the band is a completely different beast. If you want to hear what Izzy can really do, this will blow you away. And she can do it night after night, after night. She takes great care of her voice. Unfortunately the live clips cut off the extended outro which is incredible, so got to link you the whole concert and a time stamp. (dunno how to make a timestamp, so start at 9:37) 17:30 pretty seamlessly goes into the next song which is great, so you could keep going or not when you hit that. kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2OqkISQhailhqc I would put money on this blowing your minds.
