I'm currently enrolled in some digital sculpting classes because making statues and miniatures has always been a career dream for me. This video was awesome!

I loved the video, I loved the character created and think it turned out wonderfully. I myself recently got into 3-d resin printing of miniatures and am astounded on the details achieved within people's creations as well as the vivid characters created. Keep the creation coming its really good work.

please do more miniature sculpting for 3D printing!! awesome video
@FynnGB5 жыл бұрын
Really glad you like it! I'm already working on a few more miniatures but my plan is to get a bunch ready before I start printing again. I would like to avoid filling back the resin because the printer is not in use for a few days so I want to have a lineup of prints. That way I can keep a constant stream of prints going. So the next one or two videos won't be about printing but after that I will put out more!

that looks so incredibly awesome, especially how you just do it with ease.

With a 3d printer with the resolution of the Elegoo Mars, you definitely need all the details. Even the contours of the teeth of a bear are visible and though from white resin you can't tell, the details pick up paint very, very well.
@FynnGB4 жыл бұрын
It's always really cool to see how the detail holds up in the prints! though I have to exaggerate some things to make them work better in a small scale

Hi, great video. Could you tell me what brush do you use to cut the sphere when sculpting the hands?
@FynnGB3 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot! it's called clip curve brush. you can activate it by holding down ctrl+shift which will switch the brush icon into the selection menu where you can choose between different selection/clip/trim/etc tools

@andrewmccullough49993 жыл бұрын
Little late but if you use a free program called Blender, it is really similar to the program used in this video (ZBrush, costs about $900).

How long did it take you to reach this level of sculpting ? I just started and am curious
@FynnGB3 жыл бұрын
it depends on how focused your learning is. If you have a clear goal of what the end goal is (just pure miniature sculpting for example) you will be much faster then if you're pursuing a broader skillset to become more of a generalist (like I did) to get to a level like in this video I would say around a year from scratch maybe. But it really depends on how much time you're willing to put into it every week/day. You can get there in a couple of months or you could take longer so as a short answer: it depends :D

all the best with your sculpting! if you have any questions regarding the process let me know!
