Half Life - Alyx - Scavenger [Full Release] by razolis

Within the Null-Sector of City-24 lies an unknown vortigaunt Capture operation consisting of numerous Combine forces. These operations have helped fuel local Combine Sub-Citadels by draining captives of their vortal powers with torturous machinery. You as a lone scavenger have set it upon yourself to break into these power-banks held within abandoned and infested structures and shut them down.
However, the road ahead lies several infested areas filled with all sorts of dangers that you will have to eliminate. The Combine have set up fortifications and blockades on the streets to control movement of the growing Antlion outbreak. The path ahead will not be easy, major infestations and Combine soldiers will hunt you down.
I proceed through destroyed, dilapidated and Xen-infested buildings while scavenging for ammo and resin, on my way to the trapped vorts.
But I especially like the Combine encounters. Fights are a challenge and much fun.
Also the scripted sequences such as the vort and the scanner increase immersion and bring live into it.
They contribute to the whole story.
Was a bit trigger happy and had some amazing ammo sparsity at the end that forced me to get creative.

Thank you very much Lambdarokh for having been the main man I can count on to let me know the pros and cons of my map, I’m glad you enjoyed this map and I’m happy to see that you were panicking for a short bit at the end with the soldiers. You are quite literally the reason this map is in the state that it is now, and if it hadn’t been for your first review of the discontinued version, I wouldn’t have been motivated to finish this map. I hope to provide more maps to the Half Life Alyx community and be able to refine my map making process along the way!

Took me 1hr45m on Merciless Hard. Had to check your playthru at one point because I confused myself. I can see your advice may have been used with the Combine aggressive behavior and all of the battles were really fantastic. Amazing job by the creator!

Josh (razolis) really did a great Job with the map. Right from the beginning I liked the Combine fight areas with the break-through walls. A lot of potential. Deserved the 9/10. I remember in some playtests I mentioned things like "would be cool to get attacked from here and there..." and now he got me in the last fight. Just watching your playthrough - that looks stressful on merciless hard xD
