I think your commentary and edits are great! Can’t believe you’re not at 100k subs or something lol. Keep putting stuff of this quality out and you’ll be noticed by the public in no time!

I don’t think the pushing boxes mechanic could get better if you adjust the settings. I’ve heard Gordon pushes boxes “like his arms are made out of steel pistons”

I really enjoyed this, but I think mixing in the occasional bit of live gameplay during any kind of surprising sequence (like someone being killed, encountering a new enemy, etc.) may help the break up the constant commentary. Also, describing individul rooms is rather redundant when that room could be used as backround footage while describing anything or larger significance. This totally deserves more attention, though!!

Those are really good points! I will try to incorporate those things into other videos. I know I tend to over describe sometimes, especially when its not necessary. I do really appreciate the feedback/suggestions!

@@chefkirby1 Oh right, and one other thing that I forgot to mention earlier- what would you say is your intended audience? It felt like it was trying to be a review, recap, walkthrough, and a let's play at the same time, while missing out on quite a few of the key elements of all of them. I personally watched the video after being reccomended it to sort of re-experience/remember the events of half-life without having to watch anything that's too long, or replay the whole game. As it is right now, it feels like it's trying to be all of the types of videos that I said above at the same time, but I think you could pull it off if you know when to let the gameplay speak for itself, when it's better to just recap a whole section (like the conveyor sequence), and when to include any kind of review/reflection. Of course I'm really only talking about this video, so some of my points may not be applicable in some of your other videos, but it's probably beneficial to have a consistent style throughout similar videos, regardless. If you don't think I understand your goal correctly, genuinely feel free to ignore what I've said, though. However, I think improving your current style would totally be something I'd enjoy (being someone who has played the game- and several others in your library, judging by the part where you scrolled through it- but doesn't want to watch a whole stream/let's play), because of how unique the format is. And just to add this onto the end because of how long this reply is getting to be, I still think the format you have right now is really enjoyable and I'd watch anything new that you upload, I just think it could use some tweaks! :D

@@Inktoo at the moment, I’m not quite sure who my intended audience is. Probably people who are knee deep in steam games like me lol. In terms of style, it really is a mix of those things. I think I’m more or less showing off what I experienced during my time with a game, but with enough context to where anyone who hasn’t played it before would be able to understand. In a way it also is kinda a see before you buy type of thing as well. Definitely my main goal is to cover each game in a consistent, watchable format. I’m trying to have some “filler” games and some more mainstream larger titles mixed. That way there can be a shorter random video and a longer more detailed video on a more known game. I do appreciate the feedback, honestly. Hopefully over time the style of everything will flesh out nicely!

Honestly, I used the default settings on the game from the Steam version. So I didn’t know that the models were any different. Does it look significantly worse with the models?
@KlavierGayming

@@chefkirby1 It's not significantly worse, the NPCs just feel like they don't fit in with the rest of the world, i'd say

@@KlavierGayming gotcha, that does make sense. I did think they felt a little off originally, but just brushed it off as thinking it was just how the game was made
