Can You Beat Half Life Alyx Without Hurting a Headcrab?

Beating Half Life Alyx without hurting a single Headcrab was a serious pain in the butt, but it was so worth it.
This video has been a long time in the making. 12 hours to complete the game, nearly 6 hours of footage to comb through, dozens of hours writing the script and recording the voice over, and a few more hours spent cleaning stuff up in post, and I can honestly say that I am proud of this video.
This is the type of content I want to create, and I hope it reaches the level of quality to impress anyone watching it.

@@mikoajnowak5330 Just debeaking a headcrab wouldn’t make it actually follow you around like a pet, after going through the combine teleporter and arriving back at Kleiner’s lab, when he opens the door you can see Lamar next to him peaking in before getting scared off by Gordon’s crowbar. Likewise we never actually see her try to jump on anybody’s head, Kleiner states “the worst she could do is try to couple with your head” but she immediately does the exact opposite. Obviously she isn’t fully domesticated, so like modern day “exotic” pets, she’s still very wild.

Headcrabs are like the turrets in Portal 1&2. You become attached to them. Like, your brain tells you"I feel bad for these things!" I think thats what valve wanted you to feel because of how clumsy headcrabs are and how child-ish the turrets feel.

This was the first Half-Life game I played and immediately saw headcrabs as just another wild animal. Killing them for just doing what they do felt bad so I avoided it wherever possible. They are easy enough to evade and really adorable if you find one alone.

FYI the lightning dog is actually a new form of headcrab, but it can go onto heads or by going into the belly of a host. so technically you can't exactly beat the game without killing one headcrab, just a fun fact Edit: uhh sorry to make people pissed I thought it was an interesting thing, didn't mean to sound rude or anything so uh my bad they might not be headcrabs yknow I'm probably very wrong
