@@NicksNameGoesHere well the way i interpreted that when i played hl2 was that probably its as if you had kept the suit the whole time, cause the gman drops you where he drops you for a reason. You show up in that particular place to keep undercover for a while just enough to let you reunite with your suit once again and have enough time to get a weapon. He kept the weapons as he said in the first game so he could only give you back your suit, but dropping you in the middle of city 17 with the HEV and without weapons would do his errr... employers, no good. They seem to need gordon to be alive at that time so its kinda as if you had kept the suit, only that its an entirely different suit and its even a different model... uh... lets just go the obi wan way and say that gman said the truth from a certain point of view i guess.

The devs have said that Gordon actually does have a Helmet, which is why you can take more than 1 jump from the Headcrabs, and has a HuD... Just for some reason they didn't show the Helmet when you got the suit.

Sasquatch At His Computer It's made out of those puzzle-piece-shaped floor mats you sometimes find in children's play rooms. Heat makes it really easy to mold, so you can bend it into whatever shape you want and basically fuse two pieces together with only hot glue.

I guess a faceless protagonist wasn't an option, yet. So they made Gordon a face. They also made a thirdperson model because Deathmatch was a thing and they wanted a different model from a generic HEV guy. Op4, Decay and Blueshit all use that model or are slightly modified. At this point they don't really care. The HL1 HEV suit didn't have gloves too, but they were on the first-person model. Also, the promo art has a different design for his glove too. For HL2 they only did promo art. There is no thirdperson model. If we really want to take the games literally, we might as well agree that people who weren't turned into headcrab zombies are actually "immune" to a headcrab jumping on their head, except Alyx but she has grown out of it between the age of 19 and 24. Gordon developed short distance telekinetic powers during that 20 years in statis. Citizens without any body armour can eat bullets and move fine after that. HECU soldiers are so dumb, if they don't see anyone but get shot in the arm, they just take the bullet. HECU soldiers can produce radio sounds and distortions with only their mouths.

The suit does have a helmet. It just doesn't show up. That's why you can zoom in the game, and also have a hud with health, ammo, and different icons for poison and stuff. But thanks for making the vid. Its people like you who keep the half-life community alive.
