Fun Fact: Jon Bon Jovi was staying in a hotel. He had the hotel concierge bring up a piano to his room so he could write. That evening he had writers block, and too much to drink, and didn't get anything down. The next morning he woke up hungover. He felt bad for having the hotel bring up the piano and not doing anything with it. He was looking out the hotel window and there was a wedding/wedding pictures/a wedding party down on the street. So he sat down at the piano and this song is what was written. So the opening lines are very true: "Sitting here wasted and wounded At this old piano/ Trying hard to capture The moment this morning I don't know/ 'Cause a bottle of vodka Is still lodged in my head...." Also fun fact: It was a helicopter that took the aerial shots. By the end of the video shoot, it had gotten too windy to land the helicopter to get Richie Sambora (the guitar player) off the mountain. So they had told him he was going to have to repel down the mountain. Lol. he refused, the helicopter pilot gave it his best try, and all was well. 😂 Thanks for doing Bon Jovi!

He and Dorothea weren’t together at that time, they had broken up but he was miserable. He went back to New Jersey and begged her to take him back. They’ve been married since 1989 and together mostly on since 10th grade. I saw him perform this song at his annual charity concert at Xmas time, he had just written it and the band hadn’t even practiced. It was mainly him singing a cappella playing a baby grand. Great song. Jai you’ll love Always too. PS He had just had his hair cut and it made the prime time news! 🤣 He thought that was dumb. PPS Helicopter shots.

Great song! We saw them during a blizzard in Albany NY, opening act didn’t show and neither did half the audience. They had everyone move from the cheap seats to as close as we wanted and played for almost 3 hours. While the band took a break John sat at the piano and played Dry County by himself.

This is the first Bon Jovi video I watched when this song was on MTV and they were starting their ‘comeback tour’ Keep the Faith’ in 92. I was mesmerised by the music the lyrics the man and his incredible voice and emotion. It made me cry then and it makes me cry more now seeing how his voice is failing and he looks so fragile, I saw them live so many times frow best nights of my life. Seeing him now breaks my heart, getting old is evil it’s just is so cruel. I love him so much I hope he’s not sick 💔

We dated almost 20 years ago but he drank too much so we split up but remained friends and saw each other daily because we both worked at the same prison. I ended up getting married and had my son and he went his way. After 10 years of my relationship I found out my husband was having an affair so I got divorced. I moved back in with my parents and my 2 kids. One day sitting outside my friend and ex boyfriend drove by. He stopped when he saw me and we talked for about an hour. See we both left our jobs in corrections for different reasons so I went a while without talking to him. Well this time he was sober and from that day we rekindled our relationship. We ended up getting married and he's been sober 8 years and we have a great relationship and I thank God for him every day. You two remind me of my relationship with my husband.
