Great reaction. Tom Jones always had that effect on women. I was in high school when his show was on and it sure opened my eyes. Lol. Elvis was another one who would wipe his brow and give the handkerchief back to the ladies. Swooning would commence. 💖

Tom was about 29 here. That never ceases to amaze me. He came from a working class, coal-mining, community. Yes, he was a ladies man, but I think he's a man's man as well, from a tough background, who never really got carried away with fame.

Ok I have been a Elvis Fan since 1980's Elvis one Reading a piece of paper in the Middle of a Song was a note passed to him by a Um female Fan let's say. 2. When Elvis would walk in the audience- his Mafia would walk behind him and if he tapped on a lady's shoulder- she would have { VIP } To Elvis's Room in the Vagas Hotel Elvis & Tom were Friends Ever see the clip off of That's the way it is, to where Elvis before going on stage is kidding around Kidding reading notes off of black toned paper : Oh why oh why have you forsaken me , signed The pope May you break both legs signed : Tom Jones Anything related to Elvis I have read or watched.

Tom is the only other male solo singer who could give Elvis a run for his money when it comes to female fans. Panties were thrown many many times. Just not on a TV show like this one. Plenty of kisses though as you saw. lol Tom and Elvis were good buddies back in the day also.

Sir Tom Jones was and is the whole package as even now in his 80’s he still has an amazing voice, touring and selling out concerts. Even Elvis admitted that Tom had the best voice he’d ever heard and that’s true as vocally his power, depth, tone and emotion was second to none.

Comparing Tom Jones and Elvis, it's worth remembering that they became very close friends during the period when both had Vegas residencies. Not only did they have a deep mutual respect for each other's abilities but Tom, ever the straight talking Welshman, was one of the few from whom Elvis would accept criticism and advice. It is reported that when Elvis was in his deep decline both mentally and physically, his team contacted Tom asking that he call Elvis and talk some sense into him. Unfortunately, Tom wasn't able to make the connection in time...

I love his Welsh accent which he hasn't lost after all these years. When he sang on The Voice when he was a judge his voice was still as strong and melodic as ever in his 80s. A real superstar. Tom Elvis and MJ, all different and all amazing in their own right why try comparisons just enjoy each for their talent.

Loved Tom Jones and have seen him in concert a few times. You have some who prefer Tom, some Elvis and some Michael. Some people love all three, there is no wrong or right answer really. It's all a matter of personal preference. I guess the only time that it becomes irritating is when someone tries to claim their favorite is the only right answer and if you don't agree, then your are wrong. I have see that quite a bit in KZbin comments when it comes to entertainers. They don't believe in to each his own...

You guys should do some research on Elvis. Watch Elvis on The Ed Sullivan show. The young teenage girls screaming. You could hardly hear Elvis song because all the girls screaming in the audience. Watch bits of clips.of Elvis in concert. Elvis was the first heart throb. Then Tom Jones came in and he became a heart throb. All the girls wanted Elvis and all the guys wanted to be Elvis. A tidbit for you Elvis and Tom was good friends. Jai, you are right the women loved Elvis. You have to remember Elvis was before Michael Jackson. Elvis was the first heart throb ever. Michael came after Elvis. I recommend you do some research reactions. I insist you at least do some research. I'm a huge fan of Elvis and will always be his fan.

Tom Jones a ladies man, I can say he was the first kiss . I also saw ladies throwing what they had on when I was 7-30yrs old. Elvis had most women passing out even when I saw his last concert. MJ was like he continued the legacy of women passing out.. Prince shows were great too. Tom Jones til this day is great, MJ & Prince they are great, talented artists & their music will always live on.

Yes, the ladies loved Tom Jones, including my mother, and even though he's almost 83, the man can still sing! Tom's wife, who he lost in 2016, must have been a saint because she put up with him having many, many, many affairs with other women throughout their entire marriage. He even has a son from one of his affairs with a model, but apparently didn't want anything to do with that son.

Tom tells the story that back in the day women would pay hotel personnel to give them access to his suite. They would hide and when Tom jumped in the shower immediately after a show, they would try to take his nude photo. So he always showered with a bathing suit on.

The big secret about Tom Jones ..... he was a happily committed married man , his record company and manager kept it a secret ..... it was just an image of a lady killer and it served him well. Beyond the moves the man was a great talented singer.
@SweetThing
@SweetThing Жыл бұрын
Surely you jest. Tom Jones was not a committed married man. He had children out of wedlock. His wife knew about his affairs decade after decade and she beat him up once because of it.. and he said he deserved it. If you want to continue to be in denial about Tom's philandering ways, read his autobiography; he admits it in the book he wrote.
@agent4705
@agent4705 Жыл бұрын
@@SweetThing Hi, thank you for the info..... At the time Tom came on the scene, I was in Jr High. Suddenly he was appearing on every variety entertainment show ... that lady killer image was implied by various show's hosts such as ... "for all you ladies out there, here's Tom Jones!". I didn't pay that much attention. Gossip mags/papers were everywhere. I noticed headlines like " Rumors of Tom Jones married" etc, with denials from his managers. Again a casual observation. Then later it was revealed he was married and I guess in an effort to make him seem "wholesome" to preserve his popularity his managers were saying how committed he was. Once again , just headlines I would see in the grocery stores. I was never a fan nor followed him closely .... didn't really care. So if this all came out in his autobiography then it's new info to me and thanks for the update.
