1:28 Rico "Tom Jones was a player" You nailed it! Total ladies man, Rico! Tom admitted to sleeping with 250+ women a year at the height of his fame despite being married for 59 years to Linda. I laughed when Rico said "the legal ages". 🤣

They hung out together a lot back in the day. Elvis and Tom worked Vegas together. They would alternate every other month, so they never played Vegas at the same time. Often they would sneak in and watch each other’s shows. They both had the women tho…. Ladies used to throw bras and panties up on the stage at them. It was hilarious. As a kid we watched his TV show all the time. Great duets on his show. But on the serious side Tom Jones could sing. His voice was strong clear and sexy. Good looking Brit. I think his love songs are breath taking. He also could dance…. As you may have noticed. Tom Jones is now in his 80s, and is a judge on The Voice UK. He can still sing like he was 20. Talented man.

I was 23 years old in 1969. Took a trip with my family to Los Angeles to visit family. Tom Jones was appearing at the Greek theater, it was sold out but luckily I had an uncle who had some contacts! Three tickets were gotten for myself and my two sisters… We didn’t go to a concert we went to a happening! He as a talent with his voice is unbelievable, in the show that he put on for two hours with something that I never forgot I could tell you all about it. I’ve been to a lot of concerts through my years, this is one of the first ones I saw as a young person and it ranks right up there with maybe five or six more. It was unforgettable. Do you think he’s in his 80s today and he can still sing is an absolutely amazing

"Treat Her Right" was originally recorded by Roy Head in 1965. I think it was a one hit wonder for Roy. His recording had a strong Elvis vibe (I thought it was Elvis when I first heard it). It's a great song. Tom Jones gave an interesting performance here but I don't think he did Roy's song justice. There is a great video of Tom Jones singing his own hit "I'll Never Fall in Love Again". I love several of Tom's other hits also: Delilah, It's Not Unusual, Green Green Grass of Home, What's New Pussycat?, Without Love (There Is Nothing), She's a Lady, and his cover of Prince's song "Kiss" in 1988 with the group Art of Noise.
